‘Teen Mom OG’ Cast ‘Blindsided’ By Bristol Palin Joining MTV Series

Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol is joining the cast of Teen Mom OG – and no one was more surprised than the cast members! RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on how Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood were blindsided by the announcement.

A source close to the cast told RadarOnline.com how Bookout, Lowell and Portwood first heard of the new addition when news broke yesterday.

The Teen Mom 2 cast was also blindsided, as Javi Marroquin told RadarOnline.com, “What the hell that’s random. Who is that?” Kailyn Lowry took to Twitter to tweet, “Bristol Palin & Cheyenne & Cory for Teen Mom OG? Our producers sure know what to do. I also am not hating whatsoever. I’m just surprised.”

The news comes weeks after The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported that The Challenge star Cory Wharton and Are You The One? star Cheyenne Floyd are joining Teen Mom OG.

At the time, a source told RadarOnline.com how the TMOG cast was unhappy with the decision. “Amber is pissed off about the new cast member,” a source close to Portwood said. “They’ve been doing Teen Mom for ten years and don’t think they like the idea of someone who is a total newbie and has never even been on the show before coming on permanently.”

As for Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, a second source told RadarOnline.com, “They all just think it’s stupid that they’re bringing people from outside the franchise instead of bringing the OG’s and the TM2 cast together.”

Abraham was fired from the MTV series last year because of her appearance on an XXX webcam site and her harsh treatment of the crew.
