At-Home Rehab May Have Worked -- Actor Johnny Depp Appears Sober (And Unrecognizable) On 'Yoga Hosers' Set

Johnny Depp costumed up for his new role in feature film Yoga Posers – and we don't even recognize him! The actor's rehab at home may have helped him back in the saddle for work.
After Johnny Depp publicly humiliated himself with a seemingly intoxicated appearance at the Hollywood Press Awards, the 51-year-old seemed to hit rock bottom.
After the incident, those close to the actor encouraged him to get help, and he took time away from the spotlight to sober up.
But this week, Depp appears to be back on the scene, gearing up for his alarmingly unrecognizable character in Kevin Smith’s new comic book flick.
Depp was sober for almost two years, and according to a report in The National ENQUIRER, his longtime partner Vanessa Paradis blamed his fiancée Amber Heard for his relapse.
But the insider told The ENQUIRER that the fault does not lie entirely with Heard. “Amber broke his sobriety, but she isn’t necessarily a bad influence,” claims the source. “She isn’t a party girl anymore.”
According to the magazine, on newsstands now, “Amber and family members asked him to get help.”
Last year, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor told Rolling Stone magazine that he stopped drinking because alcohol caused problems in his life.
Though he was sober for a year and a half at the time, he insisted that he was not an alcoholic.
The actor admitted that drinking originally helped him with his social issues. “I’m kind of socially awkward,” he shared in his interview.
In another interesting twist, Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose, has also been cast in the new film.
The adorable Depp appeared on set looking fresh-faced and ready for “action.”
The starlet-to-be is a natural on set. It may only be a matter of time before we’re lined up for her big blockbusters.
We’re surprised Johnny let her join the cast. The notorious recluse usually keeps his family life out of the public eye. Perhaps she’s helping her father maintain sobriety on set.
Smith’s daughter Harley also joins the cast, starring along side Lily-Rose for their big screen debut.
