It’s been four months since Camille Grammer lost her home in the devastating Malibu fires, and still, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s life is not back to normal.

As RadarOnline.com has learned, Grammer, 50, has been living in a 1,200-square-foot double wide trailer home which she purchased years ago for her parents.

Back in November, she shared shocking photos of her burned down 6,000-square-foot mansion, telling fans that while she was certainly heartbroken, she was glad she lost her belongings rather than her loved ones.

“Sadly my house couldn’t be saved. The courageous firefighters were able to save my cars and personal items recovered from my home. I thanked the fire chief and his team of firemen for all of their hard work,” she captioned a photo of her house engulfed in flames. “Sad we lost our home but grateful that my family is safe.”

“I’m still processing it all,” the mom-of-two told PEOPLE in a new interview.

“There are times I lamented about it,” she continued. “I miss my home and having my bed to go back to. It was my safe haven and there was so much emotional value and memories connected to it.”

She said that while she knows how lucky she is to have escaped the fires unharmed, there are times when she still misses her physical belongings and memories.

“There are days that I think that I have certain things, sunglasses or clothes or notebooks or pictures. Then I realize, oh that doesn’t exist anymore. The comfort of walking in and having a home, that’s gone,” she said.

RadarOnline.com readers know Grammer married attorney David C. Meyer a few months before the tragedy. And though they certainly have less privacy than they did before, he’s been “extremely supportive” during the entire experience, and they “make it work.”

Meyer has been living in the trailer home with Grammer and her daughter Mason, 17, from her marriage to Kelsey Grammer. The star’s other son, Jude, 14, is living with dad.

“It’s kind of like glamping,” says Grammer, trying to stay positive amid her crisis. “I don’t have as much privacy — but then again, I’m fortunate to have a roof over my head.”

Despite her loss, Grammer says she’s learned to appreciate the good things in her life rather than focus on the bad.

“We have the necessities we need,” she said. “We don’t need an abundance of things. Humbling experiences like this bring you to your knees. It really is a fresh start.”

Thankfully, the reality star won't have to stay in her trailer home for much longer, as she recently revealed to Home & Design, she is in the midst of renovating her luxurious new beachfront property!

"I always dreamed of having a house on the beach. Since my home was lost in fires me and my family will move in soon. It will be my home. We are very excited. It was built in the fifties, and it was renovated in the 80’s. And I’m renovating it now," she said.
