Cancelled! Kelly Clarkson's Talk Show To Replace Steve Harvey's 'Steve'

Out with Steve Harvey, and in with Kelly Clarkson!

RadarOnline.com has learned that Clarkson's upcoming daytime talk show will replace Steve Harvey's Steve on NBC beginning in 2019. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news.

The "I Don't Think About You" singer shot to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of American Idol. The TV show is her first daytime television hosting gig – with her only shooting her first ever pilot two months ago - and replaces daytime veteran Harvey.

The news is a huge blow to Harvey, 61, as it sees his show pulled from 11 major markets around the US – including Los Angeles, where the talk show is filmed, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami and Washington, D.C.

Steve was set up by Harvey after he walked out on his last talk show, Steve Harvey,in Chicago unceremoniously firing all the show's staff and issuing a list of rules directing employees to stop speaking to him in the hallway, approaching his dressing room or addressing him in the makeup chair.

At the time, Harvey refused to apologize for his memo to staff. The Family Feud star has also been hit with a lawsuit by a guest who claims she was duped by ø staff into wearing clothes which made her look sexier than she would usually choose - then ridiculed her look on the show.

Dominique Collier - a sexual assault survivor - filed the lawsuit claiming the crowd judged her as part of the show segment and described her as a "w**e," "sl*t," "daddy issues," and "ratchet". She later asked producers to pull the segment, but they aired a heavily edited version instead.

Harvey was then hit with yet another legal headache when two high-profile executives at other businesses he owns were named in a federal lawsuit by a former employee for refusing their sexual advances. His radio show has also been pulled from the airwaves and replaced in Dallas, Texas, following the claims.

RadarOnline.com has reached out to Harvey's team for comment.
