Miami Beach Condo Collapses, At Least One Person Injured

At least one person has been seriously hurt after a building suddenly collapsed in Miami Beach, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

Miami police said the former Marlborough House condominium, located on upscale Collins Avenue, was set to be torn down, but "it was not scheduled to be demolished as of yet."

In police photos, the former building had been reduced to a pile of rubble.

Streets surrounding the collapsed building have been closed as police search for any other possible victims, and work to clean up the mess.

"This building super near me in Miami Beach just collapsed," one nearby beachgoer posted to Twitter, along with a shocking photo "Cloud of smoke and sirens everywhere."

The 13-floor building was built in 1963, and was expected to be torn down for a new 19-story tower.

The condo no longer had any residents inside.
