‘Committed’ Couple Sean Penn & Charlize Theron Are Engaged Following Romantic Parisian Trip

After a year of romance, Sean Penn and Charlize Theron are engaged.
The couple last month, while vacationing in Paris, "decided to take their relationship to the next level,” a source told US Weekly. “There's no ring, but they are committed.”
Penn, 54, and Theron, 39, began dating a year ago, and gradually have taken things up a notch as time has passed. An insider told RadarOnline.com back in February that after “the two began talking about marriage,” Theron closely watched how well Penn interacted with her 2-year-old son, Jackson.

The romance hasn’t come without a small measure of skepticism, as Theron’s pals urged “her to think twice before finally heading down the aisle with Sean,” a source told The National ENQUIRER, due to his past issues with domestic violence.
The Milk star was previously wed to Madonna from 1985 to 1989, and actress Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010. Theron was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Stuart Townsend.
