Dancing With The Stars contestant Tom DeLay showed the Texas toughness that made such a him a force in politics, trotting out on the ballroom floor for Monday’s round with stress fractures in both feet.

"What's a little pain when you can party," DeLay, who brushed off advice from doctors and DWTS producers, said of his determination to continue on in the competition and perform the Samba with partner Cheryl Burke.

DWTS beefcake Louie Vito told RadarOnline.com reporter Tina Malave that he was impressed with the way the 62-year-old former House of Representatives majority leader let his adrenaline take over and pushed through the pain.

"I give him mad props,” the sexy snowboarder told RadarOnline.com. "He surprised me."

DeLay, clad in a red striped shirt with tight red pants, received the second-lowest score of the night (15/30) for his interpretation of War's Why Can't We Be Friends.

The weathered politician was in good spirits afterwards, as he Tweeted well-wishes to the public.

"Well, last night was a disaster," DeLay wrote. "I was so good at dress rehearsal, I must have jinxed myself. Cheryl was fantastic. Thx for the prayers. Thanks to all of you that voted for me ... I survived to dance the Samba. It's been a great ride thus far."

DeLay wasn't the only celebrity tearing up the ballroom at less than 100 percent: heartthrob Aaron Carter braved his way through a knee injury, while singer Mya complained of foot pain.
