World's Sexiest Man, Part 2

Last night, at a Plaza Hotel bash promoting his new film Australia, star Hugh Jackman made a surprising announcement: he’s returning to Broadway in a musical based on the life of escape artist Harry Houdini.

The 48 year-old Jackman is no stranger to the boards. He first gained recognition in the 1998 revival of Oklahoma and won a 2005 Tony for his portrayal of Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz on Broadway.

The music for the as-yet untitled Houdini project has music by Danny Elfman and a book by radio host and rock reporter Kurt Andersen.
