‘The Trip From Hell — It Was So Racist!’ Kim Kardashian Says On ‘KUWTK’ About Visit To Austria, Marred By Man’s Despicable Blackface Bit

Kim Kardashian, on Sunday night’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, summed up her Austrian experience with “Momager” Kris Jenner as “the trip from hell,” after they encountered racism against black people everywhere they turned.

That’s what viewers saw as the then-soon-to-be Mrs. Kanye West was the paid VIP guest of honor at the Vienna Ball in Austria. As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Kim was first victimized by reporter Chris Stephan, who bizarrely decided to dress in blackface and shout at her at the event, “It’s me, Kanye!”

Kim told the cameras, “I can’t believe there’s this guy is in blackface. I don’t get why him or anyone else would find this funny.”

She told Kris, “This is just a sick joke.”

At that point, Kris informed viewers about the history of blackface.

“Blackface started in the 1800s and it was all about white people painting their faces black because African-American people weren’t allowed to work so actors would dress up in blackface,” Kris said, followed by a video clip of actors doing that. “But it ended up dehumanizing, embarrassing, and making fun of certain people so to have somebody so ignorant come to such a beautiful event and spoil it for everyone is just taking a huge step backwards.”

However, things got worse when Kim then had an awkward interview with German comedian Oliver Pocher, who laughed to the reality TV star about the Ball, “Yeah, we’re going to dance. We wait for ‘N*ggas In Vienna’” — a reference to Kanye and Jay-Z’s song, “N*ggas In Paris” — which further mortified the socialite.

“Did he say what I think he just said?” Kim sighed to the cameras.

Kris indicated that it was the title of West’s song and “I get that he’s a comedian but clearly, that was incredibly inappropriate. We just need to get the hell out of here.”

Later, Kris read one of their Austrian handlers the riot act, telling him, “I have never been as disrespected as a woman or a human being in my life.”

Kris, who also had her suitcase robbed earlier during the trip — “They took my fur throw that Kanye bought me,” she had fumed — continued, “I come to Vienna and everything I had that’s valuable is stolen out of my suitcase and this man treats Kim with such disrespect.

“That’s not where we come from … my children are taught to treat people with respect … I feel like I let my daughter down by allowing her to even experience this nonsense,” Kris said.

When Kim and Kris got back home, they told Khloe Kardashian it was the worst trip ever.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, the racist trouble didn’t end with the ball, as Kim said a woman on the plane flight home had yelled at her for being with a black man and having a biracial child.

Kim continued to tell Khloe that the woman had said: ‘She has a sex video with a black guy,’ going on and on. And then the pilot had to come out, the captain, everyone, they’re all, ‘We’re going to call the LAPD the second we land.’ Her husband sat on her and told her, ‘Shut the f*ck up.’

“The trip from hell. It was so racist,” Kim concluded. “It was so weird. Kanye was just talking about it during one of his concerts, saying racism exists.”

After the show cut to a scene of West rapping about racism, Kim noted, “I obviously understood it, but it’s such a different thing when you experience it yourself.”

Later, while writing a blog against racism, Kim told Kris and Khloe about North, “I hope she never has to deal with anything like that. I would like her to know our history. Kanye’s mom and dad were huge activists and his mom was a person who would do sit-ins and she got arrested.”

Kim wrote about how she was seeing the world through her daughter and Kanye’s eyes and how she had a responsibility to see that “not only my child but all children don’t have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin.”

Also on Sunday’s episode, Kourtney and Scott Disick were moving into a huge new mansion in Calabasas. But to Disick’s frustration, Kourtney was having trouble making decorating decisions and actually moving in, especially after spotting rats there. Kourtney finally decided they would move into the new house after an exterminator gave them the all clear. But more importantly, she was forced to move in as the people who bought her original home had a nine-day escrow.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9/8c on E!
