Kandi Burruss’ elaborate Coming to America-themed wedding with fiancé Todd Tucker almost didn’t happen, viewers learned on Sunday night’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding, as many were left wondering if Burruss’ disapproving Mama Joyce -- who claimed that Tucker wanted Burruss’ money -- was right after all when he dragged his feet on signing the prenup.

As the episode opened, Burruss told the cameras her prenuptial agreement with Tucker would quash Mama Joyce’s talk about the TV producer being an opportunist.

However, by episode’s end, Tucker’s hesitation about the prenup put the wedding at risk!

The day before the wedding, during the rehearsal, Tucker showed up saying they still hadn’t worked out the prenup and Burruss got word that he hadn’t signed the agreement prepared by her lawyer.

“I’m so mad at Todd right now,” she told the cameras.

Meanwhile, Tucker sighed to a friend, “She acts like she a football player and I’m some groupie. If she didn’t do this so last minute, we wouldn’t be in this situation.”

They had a talk and Burruss told Tucker about her legal team, “They have suggested we call our wedding off.”

She told him flatly, “We’re not going to get married if we don’t have no prenup.”

But Tucker didn’t like the document because, as his own lawyer Randy Kessler had pointed out in an earlier scene, it mandated that if he got sick or disabled and the marriage ended, he would get nothing from Burruss.

According to the document, Tucker would also get zero if Burruss died during the marriage, and Kessler thought they should have had at least four weeks to look over the document — instead of the two days Kandi gave them.

“My advice is, this is not a sufficient document,” Kessler said, saying Tucker shouldn’t sign it! “You gotta protect yourself.”

Tucker was particularly shocked at the proviso that if they divorced, he’d have just 30 days to vacate her house.

“Is this sh*t personal, or is it business?” Tucker asked Burruss. “If we don’t work out, I have to get out of the damn house in 30 days? If I need some time to find a place, if we have a child?”

But Burruss said his attorney’s notes were all about money!

“I work, you work. What is it we’re debating here?” she told her boyfriend.

He finally said, “I don’t want your f*cking money, damn! That’s all you think about is money, you and your Mama.”

“I don’t think there’s going to be no wedding,” Tucker said to bystanders, storming away and leaving the rehearsal in his pal CJ’s car.

Meanwhile, Burruss fumed to her friend, Carmon Cambrice, “We are not getting married without a mother*cking prenup.”

Successful singer and music producer Burruss also told the cameras that she would be the stupid one for marrying without protecting her assets!

“Get your own money while we’re married and you’ll be fine,” she sarcastically concluded about Tucker.

In another Sunday episode scene, Mama Joyce and Burruss visited the grave of her brother Patrick, who had died years before at age 22 in a car accident in Mexico.

“He is my guardian angel,” Burruss told the cameras.

She recalled that a woman who didn’t speak English called her at the time and “she kept saying there’s been an accident. It was the most devastating thing that ever happened in my life.”

Mama Joyce revealed son Patrick had come to her in a vision.

“Patrick was always the mediator between us,” Kandi laughed. “He was your favorite. It’s okay.”

An emotional Mama Joyce told viewers, “With Patrick no longer here, Kandi’s all I have.”

At the grave site, Mama Joyce told her dead son, “I think about you every single day.”

Then, after the bonding experience with her daughter, Joyce finally agreed to Burruss’ request to walk her down the aisle!

“I like this new attitude,” Burruss said.

But how did Kandi finally make it down the aisle — and was it with a prenup or without? Fans will have to wait for the big July 6 wedding episode on Bravo to find out!
