Poor Jana! Another Duggar Gets Engaged
Jana Duggar will be forced to play bridesmaid yet again!
The 27-year-old reality TV star's younger sister Joy-Anna, 19, is engaged to her boyfriend, Austin Forsythe.
The family announced today that he had proposed on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
"We just got engaged!" Duggar, 19, revealed. "I’m so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it’s amazing."
The fourth daughter in the family to be married, Joy-Anna began “courting” Forsythe in November after he asked her father, Jim Bob Duggar, for permission to chastely date his daughter.
"I'm just overwhelmed with emotion," Forsythe said about his proposal.
"I'm so excited to be engaged because that means the next step is marriage, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for us!"
Duggar and Forsythe have been friends for 15 years, and he described the rural Arkansas area where he asked her “court” him.
“It’s a place that I’ve come many times to just get away and spend time with the Lord,” he previously said. "I just knew that this was the place that I wanted to ask her."
When Forsythe asked Jim Bob to court his daughter, he told the former 19 Kids and Counting patriarch why he loved his teenager.
“Over the years, I've been watching, and I really admire her heart for the Lord and her character," he said. "She's such a diligent worker. She gets all the younger siblings working. She's a good delegator — and, of course, her beauty."
