Dr. Oz On Big Ang's Final Interview Before Death: 'I Think She Was Scared'

After Mob Wives star Angela "Big Ang" Raiola, 55, lost her battle with cancer early Thursday morning, Dr. Mehmet Oz remembered her final interview on his show, which aired just Tuesday afternoon.

"I don't think Big Ang knew it was going to be so soon," Dr. Oz told Extra. "But I think Big Ang was scared."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Raiola passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 55. The reality star was recently diagnosed with stage 4 throat and brain cancer — and had been in and out of the hospital for weeks after her body stopped responding to chemotherapy.

"She didn't want anybody to forget the anguish on her face when she acknowledged that cigarettes killed her, stripped her life from her, that she lost decades that she could have spent with people she loved," he explained. "I think that's the number one thing that needs to get out about her legacy."

"The second part of her message was about her family, how dear they were to her, and in the darkest times you appreciate the people that love you the most," Dr. Oz continued. "It's also when you make your bravest decisions, like her decision to leave her husband. He wasn't there for her, she thought she was taking care of him all the time and this was a time she needed to take care of herself."

During their exclusive sit-down, Ang also shared that she tried to "stay positive," despite feeling depressed over her diagnosis.

Though family and friends stuck by the Mob Wives star throughout her battle, and later on her death bed, Ang's marriage to Neil Murphy crumbled in the process.

"I felt he never stepped up to the plate, so I was done with it. I feel now it's too late. 'Bye, I'd rather be by myself,'" she told Dr. Oz. "I've been taking care of everything since I been married to him. I don't need it. So I'd rather be alone. And I've — that's what I did."

Big Ang's tragic last words in the hospital were: "I want to go home."
