Alyssa Milano, speaking with Extra Wednesday, said that the timing of comic Jay Mohr's jab about her figure couldn't have been worse: Christmas day.

"I just think he was trying to make a joke and not think about it, but I heard it actually on Christmas Day and it hurt me, I was affected by it and I wanted to remind him that I'm a human being and that this hurts," the Project Runway All-Stars host said.

As we previously reported, Mohr, during a radio appearance, made a number of inflammatory comments about the Who's The Boss star's weight after rubbing elbows with her at a Las Vegas NASCAR show.

He said, "It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s***’ -- I read it on her gut," later adding that "somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.'"

Asked about the slight, the 41-year-old -- who later tweeted at Mohr about "fat-shaming" her -- told the show's Mario Lopez, "He made a comment that was not so nice about my weight and I called him out on Twitter about it.

For what it's worth, a remorseful Mohr apologized to the actress, and clarified his comments on Twitter, calling Milano "stunning" and saying that he "mistakenly thought the absurdity of what he was saying would have been taken as a joke," adding the hashtag, #fail.

Milano, echoing a sentiment we've heard from the likes of Snooki and Kim Kardashian, criticized the media and public for exerting pressure on new moms to shed the pounds as fast as humanly possible.

“I gained 55 pounds when I was pregnant, I still have 10 more to lose," she said. “I think it's an interesting statement about where we are socially that people feel that they can sort of rip a woman's body apart after having a baby.

"I think we've plastered these celebrities on tabloids about how much weight they gained during their pregnancy and how quickly they lose it afterwards and so it's sort of, unfortunately, everyone's fair game and I don’t think it's fair.”
