puleezeeeeeeeeeeeee when are we going to wake up and stop demonizing smokers. what about all the alcoholics in today's society, including the young set and the baby boomers. my husband and I both smoked and our adult son never even tried it. we know other couples with similar situations. we are just the latest group for society to trash, i guess the gays are "in" today and the smokers are the new parasites for people to take their crap out on and their mightier than thou attitudes. I see parents asking their kids if it's okay to leave the park, and other ridiculous things, like the kid is running the show. i have relatives who can't even hold a telephone conversation while their kids are in the same room because they are demanding their undivided attention, they're bored, etc. etc. etc. in some ways i miss the 50's -- not that they were perfect, far from it. but we were left to our own devices and learned how to deal with boredom, how to be creative, how to fend for ourselves, how to enjoy playing outside (no such thing as video games). unfortunately, these yuppie brats took over my old beautiful brooklyn neighborhood which is unrecognizeable. they do not thank you for holding a door open for them, they are rude, selfish and undoubtedly, their parents are paying their ridiculously high rents. how else do you explain all these young people around all day long, shouldn't they be out working???? so please, think twice before condeming someone who smokes. we are not animals, criminals, misfits. we just happen to like to smoke. we'll deal with the consequences. MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.
