Backbird: There are not plenty of fundamentalists quoting scriptures to kill gays, muslims or Jews. Christians run ministries to the Gays (not what a lot of Gays want, but no reports or hints that murders go on there) We are friends of Isreal more than most groups in the world, and we have many peaceful Muslims welcome in the US, as welcome as any other religion, if they'll live as peacefully as any other religion.
What we do shoot is murdering, terroristic killers. It's amazing how most of those seem to claim Islam as a reason for their crimes. Not all, by any means, but a scarily large number.
Oh, and before you quote our anti-sodomy laws, read a little. The courts threw them out. We may consider it in poor taste, but not worthy of death like the 'honor killings' happening in Islamic Sharia ruled lands.

As much as you bleeding hearts amuse me, did you really read the islamic teachings? That wasn't what Christians or Jews were saying about Islam - that's what the Islamists were saying IS Islam!
If you compare what these paragraphs teach to recent history, no filters, and no excuses for anytone... it's a frighteningly close match. Simple, what they teach, compared to what they do. Leave any other clutter out of the equation, and it's quite simple what we can expect from them if allowed to convert more of the world.
