Terryeo, what you fail to understand is that no one is "allying" themselves with the Anonymous "name". Anonymous is THE VERY LACK OF A NAME. Anonymous is THE VERY LACK OF A STRUCTURE.
People do what they want and if they don't want their name revealed, they call themselves Anonymous. Scientology's Fair Game tech makes it necessary for anyone protesting Scientology to hide their identity unless they like being harassed by P.I.s and seeing their pets killed.
Right now there are Anonymous out there who are plotting to dismantle the whole anti-Scientology movement while other Anonymous are moving forward with it. There are other Anon out there hellbent on making this social networking site "Gaia Online" a living hell. Just because one person does something and calls themselves Anonymous does not mean that all other Anon automatically support that action. Although the Anon that are mostly known for pulling online stunts that may lie in a moral grey area at times sparked this anti-Scientology sentiment, it has grown far beyond those silly *chans, and many of those /b/tards seem to have grown bored of trolling Scientology.
The fact that some retards decided to DDoS Scientology's website who wish to remain anonymous doesn't make protesting against the Criminal Organization of Scientology illegal, even if those protesters also wish to remain anonymous. You can't simply lump all people together who wish to remain anonymous.
