Former Secretary of state Madeleine Albright is making fashion headlines with the publication of her new book Read My Pins, released this week by HarperCollins.
The first female Secretary of State explains how she used brooches and pins to express herself, diplomatically and personally. Starting with the infamous snake pin she wore to meet with Iraqi officials, in honor of Saddam Hussein, who previously called the then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations “an unparalleled serpent,” this creative biography is perfect for both the political and fashion minded.
Madeleine’s pins will be on display at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City starting September 30.
It’s no mystery who was on Chris Brown’s mind when he wore this yellow heart brooch out and about last month. How are other celebs trying to express their innermost thoughts through their brooches? Read on to find out.
