Together For TV? Shannon Beador's Husband ‘Loves Fame’ Despite Crumbling Marriage

The Real Housewives of Orange County stars Shannon and David Beador say they are desperately trying to save their marriage after his cheating scandal nearly destroyed them. “Shannon and David are still fighting to save their marriage, but everyone around them feels like the only reason David is still with her is because it keeps him famous,” a source close to the parents of three revealed.
Shannon, 52, gained a tremendous amount of weight since last season – 40 plus pounds! In the premiere episode, which aired on Bravo on Monday, Shannon shared with fans that her weight gain has put an incredible strain on her already rocky marriage.
And as RHOC fans know, last season the Beadors were fighting to overcome David’s cheating scandal from the prior season, when he admittedly had an 8-month affair with brunette beauty Nicole McMackin.
“After David cheated on Shannon, he got so much hate from everyone,” said source. And, according to the insider, the hate got much worse when co-star Vicki Gunvalson, 55, told the cast unsubstantiated claims that David was physically abusive to his wife of 20 years. (The couple has denied all rumors of abuse.)
“Shannon is not blaming Vicki anymore for her weight gain, but she is blaming her for trying to intentionally destroy her marriage to David,” the source said.
David fears if the couple split, he would be booted from Bravo. “If they were to get a divorce, he would be off the show. Not only is he loving being famous, but he also loves the extra income it gives him,” the insider dished to RadarOnline.com.
On the season premiere, the couple bickered over Shannon's dinner choice of quinoa bowls. “It’s fine. I mean, it’s no steak fillet. It’s just fine," he snapped.
And as far as Shannon’s battle against the bulge, RadarOnline.com has learned that her true motivation for getting skinny has more to do with him than it does with her. According to the source, “She has lost a little bit of weight and she is trying so hard to keep him happy.”
