Paris Hilton learned that justice is blind — even to stars — in 2007. The heiress has booked into custody after she violated the terms of a probation sentence she was serving following a drunk driving plea. In January, she was cited for driving on a suspended license. Hilton, who would sign a statement prohibiting her from the road, was pulled over in February and charged with violating her probation, which subsequently got her a 45-day jail sentence.

Comedian Andy Dick was taken into custody last summer in Murrieta, California after he was accused of groping an underage girl outside a restaurant. When police searched the comic, they found marijuana and Xanax .

Macaulay Culkin was nabbed in Oklahoma for possession of marijuana and two controlled dangerous substances (Xanax and sleeping pills) for which he did not have a prescription. Culkin, best known for starring in the “Home Alone” movies, was arrested and briefly jailed before being released on $4,000 bond

Hugh Grant was arrested in June 1995 by Hollywood police who caught him in the act with hooker Divine Brown. The actor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor lewd conduct charge and was sentenced to two years probation, and ordered to pay a fine

Lindsay Lohan was taken into custody in July 2007 in Santa Monica on drunk driving and cocaine possession charges.

Actor Josh Brolin, 40, was arrested in July 2008 in Louisiana and charged with interfering with police business after an incident in which he tried to interfere with police taking an allegedly drunk and rowdy patron into custody.

Michelle Rodriguez from the ABC hit “Lost,” was arrested by Honolulu cops in December 2005 and charged with drunk driving. Rodriguez, 27, was nabbed minutes apart from co-star Cynthia Watros. Their respective cars weaved along a highway linking Kailua and Honolulu. The actresses, both of whom failed field sobriety tests, were each charged with driving under the influence and released after posting $500 bail.

Actor Matt Dillon was arrested on December 31, 2008 for excessive speeding on a Vermont highway. Dillon, 44, was nabbed by State Police after his car was clocked going 106 mph on Interstate 91. He was fingerprinted and photographed by state troopers, and given a citation to appear at the Orange County court.

Mischa Barton was arrested on a drunk driving charge in Los Angeles in December 2007. The actress, 21, was nabbed by sheriff’s deputies in West Hollywood after her vehicle was spotted “straddling two lanes of traffic” and she failed to signal when making a turn. The actress was found to have been driving under the influence (and without a license). She was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, where her bail was set at $10,000.

Matthew McConaughey was arrested by Austin, Texas police in October 1999 and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a neighbor called to complain about music blaring from the actor’s home. When police arrived, they found McConaughey dancing around in the buff and playing bongo drums. The drug charges against McConaughey were eventually dropped, though the star did plead guilty to violating Austin’s noise ordinance, for which he paid a $50 fine.

Mel Gibson was a lethal weapon on the road — and a passionate anti-Semite in a drunken rant — after Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies took him into custody on drunk driving charges in July 2006.

Actor Haley Joel Osment lost his senses temporarily in 2006, as then then-18-year-old actor suffered minor injuries after crashing his station wagon while returning to Los Angeles following a concert. He was subsequently charged with drunk driving and marijuana possession, and released from custody after posing $15,000 bond.

Christian Slater was arrested at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport in December 1994 and charged with criminal possession of a weapon Slater reached a plea agreement in early-1995 that required him to spend three days working with homeless children.
