Claudia Schiffer opted for a loose fitting sleeveless black gown for the 125th anniversary gala at the Metropolian Opera House on Sunday. The sheer and embroidered portion of the dress is stunning, but the fit takes away from the beauty of Schiffer and the gown. Rather than hiding her figure, she should have chosen a gown that showcased her supermodel bod! Hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it!

Kim Kardashian stepped out in New York last night in a chic styled black ensemble. Cinching a thick patent leather belt at her waist, Kim K.
embraced her curvy figure while tying in her patent clutch. Utilizing numerous textures, she makes black interesting and fashionable rather than flat and boring! Talk about keeping up with the Kardashians, this girl’s got style!

Kelly Osbourne was out with her fiance Luke Worrall last night and managed to turn her “simple black dress” into a chaotic mix-matched mess. Everything except the dress needs to go back to the Salvation Army, if they’ll take it! Donning what looks like Jack’s childhood jacket, Sharon’s 80′s cheetah pumps and inspector gadget glasses, the only thing that works in this outfit is her oversized patent leather bag! Style advice: Bag the rest dear!

Reese Witherspoon is seen dressing simply in black at the Monster Vs. Aliens premiere. The style and cut are perfect for her figure and she accessorizes only with earrings. Simple is a good thing. As Coco Chanel says, “you should look in the mirror and take one thing off before you leave the house.”

Julianne Marguiles attended the 125th anniversary gala at the MET showcasing a beautiful layered chiffon frock. Taking into account the elegant simplicity of the dress, the clunky patent heels draw too much attention to her feet and stick out like a sore big toe!

A black dress showed up at the 125th anniversary gala at the MET wearing Mary-Kate Olsen. Although she is not as tragically thin as she used to be, Olsen’s Kimono inspired dress proved to be way too much dress for her, as did the foundation on her face. Rather than “simple black dress”, MK should remember “less is more”. Less makeup, less hair, less dress means more style points. The silver croc clutch, however, is darling.

Aimee Teegarden, at L.A.’s Fashion Week closing party, looking like a
walking, talking, fashion faux pas. The off the shoulders sequined top,
combined with the cinched and wrapped body of the dress does nothing to flatter her legs, her tummy, or her booty. Wearing a mini dress that looks like an outdated gown cropped and cinched never works!
