O.J. Simpson was infamously charged with murdering his estranged wife, Nicole Brown and their friend Ron Goldman in 1994. After a long, highly publicized trial, Simpson was found not guilty in 1995. He was later found guilty of kidnapping and armed robbery and was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008.

Robert Blake was accused of murdering his second wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley, 44, in May 2001. She was shot dead while waiting in Blake’s parked car in front of a Los Angeles restaurant. In 2005, the 82-year-old actor was acquitted of the charges but was forced to pay $15 million in damages to Bakley’s kids after they filed a civil lawsuit.

NFL star Robert Rozier was convicted of murder in 1986, after he admitted to killing seven people. A year earlier, Rozier decided the join “The Brotherhood,” a secret group run by cult leader Yahweh ben Yahweh. To join the cult, interested parties reportedly must kill a “white devil” and bring back a body part as proof. The fallen football player agreed to testify against the organization. Because of several past arrests, Rozier was sentenced to 25 to life in prison and is currently incarcerated in California State Prison, Los Angeles County

NFL player Eric Naposki was sentenced to life in prison after he murdered his mistress’ live-in boyfriend, William "Bill" McLaughlin, by shooting him six times. Nanette Ann Packard, alleged that he did it so that she could collect his hefty life insurance policy. She was eventually convicted and sentenced to life in prison as well.

Sid Vicious, most famous for being the Sex Pistol’s bass guitarist, was charged with the murder of his former girlfriend Nancy Spungen in 1978. She bled to death from single stab wound and was found in the Hotel Chelsea in New York City. Before his trial, he was arrested for assaulting Patti Smith’s brother, Todd Smith, and sentenced to a 55-day detox program for his heroin addiction. Although presumed to be clean, Vicious overdosed in 1979. He never made it to trial for Spungen’s murder. His mother claims to have found a suicide note in his pocket not long after he died.

Phil Spector, a disgraced music producer, is now in a California prison after murdering actress Lana Clarkson. She was found dead in his mansion, slumped over in a chair with her teeth scattered on the floor of the room on Feb. 3, 2003. Although Spector argued that her death was a suicide, his driver told officials he saw the producer with a gun on the day of Clarkson’s murder. He was found guilty and sentenced to 19 years to life in prison.

Flavor Flav was arrested in October 2012 after he allegedly tried to kill his fiancée’s son. After the two started arguing over cheating allegations, the rapper grabbed Elizabeth Trujillo and threw her to the ground. Her 17-year-old son attacked but after his mom broke free, the rapper chased the son around with two kitchen knives. He plead guilty to the assault charges but avoided jail after agreeing to attend 12 domestic counseling sessions and a one-year probation.

The scuffle resulted in the fatal stabbings of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Two weeks later Lewis’ attorneys negotiated a plea deal stating he would testify against his friends Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting – who were both eventually acquitted. Lewis was sentenced to 12 months probation for obstruction of justice after lying to police the morning after the incident.
