Reese Witherspoon: Earlier this year, Reese found herself picking up the pieces of her shattered good girl image after cops arrested her husband Jim Toth for a DUI in Georgia and she tried to pull the celebrity “do you know who I am?” card. When the Walk the Line actress disobeyed the officer’s order to stay in the car and was also caught on tape asking him, “Do you know my name? You’re about to find out who I am,” she was also arrested -- and charged with disorderly conduct. The Mud star later issued a public apology, saying she’d had too much to drink and “I’m very sorry for my behavior.”
Rihanna: Last September, the singer was escorted out of a London nightclub after she jumped on a table and shattered the glass. According to The Sun, club employees tried to haul Ri Ri away in front of hundreds of onlookers. But incredibly, sources said she was allowed to stay at the club after screaming, “Don’t you know who I am?” She even reportedly received free drinks from the manager!
Nicki Minaj: It was the battle of the divas when Nicki and Mariah Carey tried to outdo each other as American Idol judges last season and got into very public spats. During the first one, Nicki appeared to take herself much too seriously, telling Mariah when they disagreed about a contestant, “If you say one more disrespectful thing to me, off with your head!” Later, fans of the FOX show were shocked when the rapper showed up late for the first live episode of the season, leaving an empty judge’s chair for the first time ever on Idol. Nicki, who blamed her tardiness on traffic, finally slunk into the Idol studio dressed in a black hoodie.
Mariah Carey: The singer put Nicki Minaj in her place—but also showed her own arrogance—when she referred to her fellow judge on American Idol’s lack of any Billboard number one hits. “Not everybody has that,” Mariah purred on the show to Nicki, meaning she did and her rival didn’t! Mariah renewed her marriage vows with husband Nick Cannon in a bizarre princess getup earlier this year at Disneyland. But Mimi’s apparently not able to sing live anymore—although she has denied it, critics cried foul after observing obvious lip synching during her recent Idol and BET awards performances.
Jennifer Lopez: A source told the New York Post that JLo fell out with People magazine this January because she felt that the photo chosen for the front cover made her look “old and haggard.” It was also reported that the singer did the cover shoot to upstage the woman who followed her in the American Idol judging chair, Mariah Carey. The star has long been called a diva. At the 2010 American Music Awards, JLo reportedly demanded a custom-fitted ferry—complete with faux leather seats, a champagne fridge, and a pair of diamond-encrusted headphone—to usher her from Cannes to Monaco.
Madonna: Madge is known for outrageous demands and according to the Daily Mail, she requires a brand new toilet seat at every show, in addition to dozens of white roses and candles to protect from “negative glances and mean-spiritedness.” And don’t you dare give her the wrong flowers! When a fan presented her with hydrangeas before a 2011 press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Madonna put the bouquet under the table and was caught commenting to someone snootily, “I absolutely loathe hydrangeas. He obviously doesn’t know that.”

Kim Basinger: She’s no longer in the spotlight, but once upon a time, the blonde star’s antics caused execs to pull their hair out on the set of The Marrying Man, her 1991 movie with future hubby Alec Baldwin. People Magazine reported that Disney bigwigs leaked tales of Kim’s demands for gallons of Evian to drink—and for washing her hair—as well as an emergency mid-production trip to Brazil to consult her personal psychic.
Jennifer Aniston: A source on the set of Jen’s movie Untitled Elmore Leonard Project told RadarOnline that the Friends star she wasn’t friendly. “Every day at lunch the entire cast and crew head to a cafeteria facility where they all sit down and eat lunch together for well over an hour,” a source said. “But the only person who doesn’t eat with everyone else is Jen. She quickly grabs a lunch to go and leaves.”
Shannen Doherty: The TV bad girl was fired from Beverly Hills 90210 in 1994 after fellow cast members and producers didn’t appreciate her unprofessional ways. “They said, ‘Enough’s enough,” Aaron Spelling later revealed to Entertainment Weekly. “You get a call to be on the set at 6 in the morning, and if Shannen doesn’t show up until 10 or 11, you’re a little pissed.”
Katherine Heigl: The blonde actress became well known for her diva behavior on her ABC show Grey’s Anatomy and the movies she made afterwards. Sources on the set of Five Killers told Fox News in 2010 that Heigl was “extremely unprofessional, flaking on meetings and making ridiculous demands.”
Lea Michele: Kate Hudson was reportedly shocked by the Glee actress’ behavior on set, according to an US Weekly report. A source told the magazine, “Kate says Lea is a nightmare. Once, during a technical delay, Lea snapped her fingers and said, ‘Let’s go. I have plans!’ “
Teri Hatcher: The Desperate Housewives star became notorious after a 2005 Vanity Fair shoot in which she allegedly angered her castmates after she arrived early to cherry pick the best wardrobe for herself. During Nicollette Sheridan’s wrongful-termination suit against Desperate Housewives created Marc Cherry, Cherry testified that Sheridan told him Hatcher was “the meanest woman in the world.”
Lindsay Lohan: The troubled star has become the poster child for bad behavior, but that doesn’t just happen off the set! According to US Weekly, when Lohan appeared on Glee, she came to the set demanding a special sized trailer “and was not prepared to work.” When she did the Lifetime TV movie Liz & Dick, sources told Perez Hilton, she showed up hours late without having memorized her lines. When Lohan did finally arrive, she reportedly verbally abused co-star Grant Bowler.
Miranda Kerr: People.com quoted a source as saying the Victoria’s Secret model is no Angel! In fact, the source said the catalogue beauty “can be very difficult at shoots and appearances. She’s not very timely. She’s standoffish with the rest of the girls.” But Orlando Bloom’s wife denied that diva behavior caused her VS contract not to be renewed recently—she said other commitments simply made it impossible.
Kris Jenner: As RadarOnline.com has reported, Kris was such a nightmare to work with when her daughter Khloe did The X Factor that producers couldn’t handle another season with a Kardashian. Sources said momanger Kris did her best to discredit Khloe’s co-host Mario Lopez and tried to stage a coup that would kick Mario off the show and replace him with Kim or Kourtney. It didn’t work and Khloe lost her job instead.
Ashlee Simpson: A source told Fox411 that Ashlee was kicked off Melrose Place in 2009 because “she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members. It created a lot of discord.”
Amanda Bynes: Wacky Tweets and bad behavior have defined Bynes for months. And earlier this year, Amanda reportedly tried to board a private jet to Los Angeles from New Jersey, but was rejected for having no ID. According to a source, Amanda screamed “I’m Amanda Bynes!” but was not allowed to fly.
Tara Reid: The American Pie star threw a fit after she was denied a discount at All Saints clothing store in L.A., according to a report in the New York Post earlier this year. An eyewitness told the newspaper Tara felt she deserved the break “because of her fame.” After she screamed at the store employees, the actress was allegedly escorted out, the source said (though her rep later denied it).
