Celine Dion fought back tears while paying tribute to late husband René Angélil's at the Caesar's Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Hours before the poignant service, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer shared an adorable throwback snap of the couple hugging, making it her profile picture on all social media platforms.

During the memorial, Dion had trouble hiding her emotions.

Donning an elegant black gown, the 47-year-old was front and center on the stage, addressing family, friends and fans during the live-streamed service.

"Let me start by saying good evening good friends. Rene, the love of my life, would be so happy to know we are here together. I feel the love in this room," Dion told the audience.

"René never hated anyone. Is it possible someone loves everybody?" she asked the crowd. "I don't think so. But he never told me a person he dislike. Time was precious to him. He loved life so much, so very much."

Later, Dion thanked her family, friends, and fans for coming. "On behalf of my family, thank you again for being here for this beautiful tribute of mon amour, René, I love you, so much. Merci. Goodnight."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Canadian singer's husband passed away at 73 on January 14 after a "lengthy and courageous" battle with cancer, according to the family's statement at the time. Celine's mother, pictured here, arrived to pay her respects as well.

Along with Dion, Angélil is survived by the couple's son Rene-Charles, 15, and 5-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson. Healso has three grown children from a previous relationship.

Meanwhile, just one day after Angelil's passing, Dion's brother passed away from cancer as well.

"It's very painful. It's a matter of days or hours. It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. Our family is very experienced," Celine's sister, Claudette Dion, told the Montreal Journal.
