While discussing pot laws in California, Galifianakis made his views on the subject crystal clear — or should we say cloudy and hazy? — by smoking the cigarette in front of the live studio audience.

Whoopi Goldberg: The outspoken host of The View has never held back when it comes to candor about her personal life. During the Michael Phelps’ pot scandal in 2009, Whoopi jumped to the swimmer’s defense, saying, “I’m gonna make an admission, I hope you all are sitting down: I have smoked weed.”

Melanie Griffith not only smokes marijuana, she’s also shared it with her kids! The Bonfire Of The Vanities beauty told More magazine that she partook with her then-teen son Alexander under the rationale, “it would be better for him to do it at home than to go out on the street.”

Paris Hilton: We doubt the hotel heiress asks for a non-smoking room when she checks in: The socialite, in the summer of 2010, racked up two arrests when she was caught red-handed with the green stuff (and another on cocaine possession).

Juliette Lewis: The actress, who’s been seen in films such as Cape Fear, Natural Born Killers and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, admitted to Shout magazine that she’s smoked pot in the past, but has since kicked the habit. “I was a pothead for so many years. I think pot is so insidious, it burns all your creative fire, it makes you paranoid.”

Madonna: She made it through the wilderness … but may not have been sober at the time! The Material Girl has admittedly taken part in a little recreational smoking. How did she bond with her publicist Liz Rosenberg the first night they met? “We smoked a joint together,” she said.

George Michael: The pop icon has had his share of legal scrapes stemming from his love of marijuana. “I’m constantly trying to smoke less marijuana,” the former Wham! member admitted to the BBC. “I’d like to take less, and to a degree, it’s a problem.”

Oliver Stone: The Oscar-winning director of Born On The Fourth Of July and Platoon — who’s a veteran of the Vietnam War — told Konch Magazine, “If it hadn’t been for marijuana … in Vietnam, I don’t think I’d be the same person — I don’t think I’d be alive … Vietnamese grass is one of the most powerful, transforming herbs in the world.”

Bruce Willis: The Pulp Fiction star told Playboy in 1988 about a legal scrape he had while attending school at New Jersey’s Montclair State College. “I rolled two joints, stuck one behind each ear, had a beer in my hand … a cop stopped me for having a beer in my hand. He reached up behind my ear and goes, ‘What’s this?’ I said, ‘Oops, that’s a joint’ … I was put on probation for six months.”

Willie Nelson: The On The Road Again singer’s a well-known advocate of marijuana, and has been arrested for having the stuff as recently as November 2010, when he was booked into custody in Sierra Blanca, Texas, for allegedly possessing six ounces. “I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug,” Nelson once said. “Marijuana is a flower: God put it here.”

Seth Rogen: The slimmed-down Green Hornet star, who made his name off pot comedies such as Superbad and Pineapple Express, is unabashed about his love for marijuana. Asked if he would get a medicinal prescription for marijuana (which is available in California), Rogen joked, “What’s my illness? I guess I could say I have a terrible case of I-wanna-smoke-weed-all-day!”
