This lavish estate on the Big Island of Hawaii is something only the super wealthy could afford! “The house finally sold after being on and off the market for two years,” a real estate source told Radar.
Kelsey and Camille once had their pick of the home’s 6 bedrooms! But the actor then cheated on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
When they were married, Kelsey and Camille were also rumored to have a place in Delaware. In fact, real estate watchers couldn’t keep up with the various properties funded by his Cheers and Frasier fame.
High wood ceilings make the living area seem spacious and inviting.
Cheers! Of course, the TV star included some bar stools in the house.
The Grammers were buying and selling real estate during the marriage. In June of 2007, real estate sources say, Kelsey and Camille flipped a big and beautiful house on ritzy Bel Air Road in Los Angeles to Salma Hayek and her husband.
Built in 2007, the home had at one point been for sale at $12.9 million, so the Grammers didn’t get their asking price.
For years, many nearby Big Island residents had no idea they had TV icon Kelsey in their midst, as the actor lived quietly in Hawaii. A heart attack and bitter divorce changed that!
The Hawaii house has 7 ½ bathrooms, including this one with an oval tub.
As this room shows, Kelsey and Camille lived in style. But the former Cheers star told Oprah Winfrey in 2012 that Camille “always wanted to be famous” and their marriage was “over as soon as it began.”
The spectacular Hawaii estate features a spacious kitchen
Nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac, the house boasts an extremely private setting—perfect for two TV stars! However, Kelsey left Camille for flight attendant Kayte Walsh, whom he married in 2011 once his divorce was final.
In 2008, Kelsey was paddle-boarding with Camille near this home, when he experienced symptoms of a mild heart attack and was taken to an area hospital in Kona.
The estate’s new owner must love the water. The house has a pool, anchialine ponds, and access to the beach. The Hawaii estate has amazing views and lush vegetation.
Insiders aren’t sure how much property Kelsey kept after the nasty divorce, but a new owner is saying “mahalo” for getting this Hawaii estate at a lowered asking price!
In 2013, it was reported that Kelsey and Camille were still “desperate” to divest themselves from all their real estate, including a place in Malibu, a Beverly Hills estate, and apartments in New York in addition to two Hawaii properties.
I did believe that I owed something to that person,” Kelsey told Oprah Winfrey about his appearances on Camille’s reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He added sarcastically, “Because she’d given up so much to endure this life with me.”
