Jonathan Jaxson said Bynes, 27, was arrested and taken to a Manhattan hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation only after he alerted police to apparent evidence of her mental state and “other things.”

The New York Police Department has not confirmed any report of a suicidal person and law enforcement sources told NBC News they were responding to a report of a disorderly person.

Another report, from FOX New York, said Bynes was arrested  for allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her building. Authorities charged her with tampering with evidence — a felony — as well as reckless endangerment and marijuana possession, police confirmed to RadarOnline.com.

“It’s been a long few hours,” Jaxson told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview moments after the news of her arrest became public.

“I got police to be able to go to her home. I am told they found drugs and other things. I had proof she was suicidal. There were text messages and other things. I repeated all of this to the NYPD and they took it seriously.”

Describing his action as a “successful intervention,” Jaxson added: “I want the world to know that this is a victory and that she is now going to get the help she deserves.”

When cops arrived at her Midtown address at about 7:40 p.m., the ex-Nickelodeon star reportedly threw a bong out the window of her 36th floor apartment – in front of police!

Fortunately, no one was hit when it fell.

In a Tweet late Thursday night, Jaxson wrote: “Everyone please say a prayer that our intervention worked and that @amandabynes has been arrested she will get the help she needs! #love.”

This was not the first time he’d supposedly raised his concerns about Bynes to law enforcement: On May 1, he called the NYPD and tweeted at their handle that the ex-Nickelodeon star was “soooo messed up on drugs” in the hope that officers would perform a welfare check.

“Amanda had called me and we had a private conversation, but it was clear to me that she was high on drugs,” he said, at the time.

“Then, she said that she didn’t want to live anymore. I took that as that she wanted to kill herself. I freaked out.”

The 27-year-old ex-Nickelodeon star reportedly threw a bong out the window of her apartment when police arrived at the scene. They were responding to a report of a disorderly person.

She wasn booked for criminal possession of marijuana, as well as reckless endangerment and felony tampering with physical evidence, police said.

She was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, before being moved to a Midtown police station.

Bynes’ behavior has grown increasingly erratic. She has relentlessly pursued singer Drake on Twitter, feuded with Jenny McCarthy and most recently flown into a rage over photographs taken inside her apartment — photo she says are fake.

As Radar was first to report, Bynes escalating disturbing behavior has been fueled by drugs, with the former star smoking a large amount of pot. “it make her more paranoid instead of mellowing her out,” one source told Radar.

Her parents have been concerned about her for quite some time but have no control over the situation and Bynes has pointed out that she does not talk to them.

“I try my hardest not to even consider getting something like pasta,” she tells People magazine. “It’s all about self-control.”

Katherine, who flaunted her hot body on the diving show Splash, stays away from all bread products in general.

“I cut out any type of bread product, and cake, cookies, bagels. When I eat a lot of sugar, I tend to bloat more,” she adds.

“I’m a believer in cardio,” she says. “That tends to trim fat faster than anything for me. And maybe I’ll do free weights one day.”

Another trick in her diet playbook, is trying not to obsess about food.

“I try my hardest not to stress myself out,” she says. “If I find myself thinking too much about what I eat, then I go crazy.

The mistrial means that while Arias’ first-degree murder conviction will stand, the state could decide to bring in a new jury and re-try the penalty phase. If the state chooses to go in that direction, the new proceedings will start July 18.

Arias appeared emotional as the verdict was read and the jurors  were also emotional, some of them crying. One even mouthed the words, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry” to Alexander’s family who was anxiously awaiting closure in the courtroom.

“We appreciate the jury’s work in the guilt and aggravation phases of the trial and now we will assess, based upon available information, what the next steps will be. As of this point in time, the court has set a status conference for June 20 and we will proceed with the intent to retry the penalty phase,” Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said in a written statement.

“Because, for purposes of a jury determination on punishment, this is still a pending matter, there will be no further comment.”

The prosecutor’s office has not yet decided whether they will retry in the penalty phase or not.

If they choose to, the new penalty phase trial date is set for July 18, but if they choose not to retry Arias would simply be given life in prison.

If the penalty phase is retried and a new jury still cannot come to a unanimous decision in the penalty phase, Arias’ fate will be left in the hands of the judge who will either sentence her to life in prison with the possibility of parole, or life in prison with no option for parole.

Before he met Jenelle in North Carolina , Duffy was accused of domestic violence in California in 1995 and reckless endangerment in New York in 1994, according to documents Bullyville Tweeted and the organization is trying to make sure his harassment of women stops.

A source close to Jenelle exclusively told RadarOnline.com that she has been struggling to get Duffy out of her life for years.

“He lies about Jenelle constantly.  She hates him but she feels like there is nothing she can do.”

Duffy has managed to worm his way into friendships with not only her husband Courtland Rogers but her ex boyfriends Gary Head and Kieffer Delp as well.

“Duffy stole Kieffer’s phone and that’s how he got the (nude) pictures of Jenelle and he released them on his own,” the source said.

“Jenelle wishes Duffy would stay away from her and everyone else she knows.”

Bullyville is now on the case and is trying to stop Duffy from harassing other women who claim he has victimized them over the years.

They posted a Tweet with instructions for women that want help: “ATTENTION: To the girls who have been blackmailed with threats of having your naked images posted online, we can help you. What he is doing to you is not only despicable, it’s a FEDERAL CRIME. Unfortunately you are not the only victim, he has done this to countless other girls. Your courage to come forward will ensure that he never stalks, harasses, blackmails or intimidates another girl ever again.”

The source close to Jenelle said she’s glad Bullyville is getting involved — even though he’s doing it for other women.

“She thinks James Duffy is pathetic and OLD and she doesn’t get why he’s trying to hang out with her.”

Another source told Radar, “Jenelle is the beneficiary of an anti-bully group that doesn’t even know who she is! Duffy is the focus for Bullyville but either way Jenelle is happy about it.”

The jail log from May 16 “shows [Castro] walking around naked,” investigative reporter Scott Taylor of 19 Action News, who viewed the log and took the photo shared with RadarOnline.com, explains. “Castro is still on suicide prevention watch and is asking guards what the temperature is outside.”

In just a short time, the jail’s most infamous inmate is already the talk of the cellblock. Another inmate had to be reassigned, Taylor reveals, because he was claiming to be the father of Michelle Knight, who was held captive with Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus in Castro’s house of horrors.

The man, however, is around the same age as Knight, police officials told Taylor, and is not her real father.

And in yet another shocking revelation from inside the investigation, Taylor tells RadarOnline.com that the police dispatcher who has come under fire for his apparently brusque behavior to Berry had instant access to a Cleveland Missing Persons Database that would have instantly highlighted the urgency of the call.

The dispatcher is under review for appearing not to treat the call with proper urgency, and for calling Berry something that sounds like “f*****g b***h” under his breath, as RadarOnline.com has reported.
