After Lyders was named as his beach companion, Hicks fans analyzed photos, coming to the conclusion that Lyders and the beach bunny were two entirely different womenYet online, members of the Soul Patrol, as his borderline obsessive fans are known, continue to carry the torch, arguing about the identity of the blonde woman he's been linked to over the past eight months. The debate is so intense that an item we wrote about her two weeks ago generated an astounding 457 (and counting) comments.
Simple enough, right? Not exactly. Shortly after Lyders was named, Hicks fans with a seemingly endless supply of free time on their hands started analyzing photos of the woman on the beach and on-air shots of Lyders, eventually coming to the conclusion that they were two different people. Among the reasons trotted out to buttress the claim were that Lyders and the beach bunny had different mouths, earlobes, ankle birthmarks, and neck sizes.
The obvious question: Why the subterfuge?
To create the illusion, it is argued, Hicks' camp started offering up Mr. Soul Patrol and Lyders for media appearances, forcing them to attend events together, and even tipping off paparazzi for photo ops. They also—and here's where it gets good—supposedly worked with an insider at the Splash photo agency to insert pics of Lyders into the original batch of Hicks beach photos, and staged photo shoots to make Lyders' legs look more like the taller Hawaii skank.
There's also the fact that, to the naked eye, Lyders and the mystery women are essentially indistinguishable. An informal survey of employees in the Radar office yielded not a single person who could tell the difference between the two.
Which is why we decided to seek out professional help and put an end to the debate once and for all. Lois Gibson of the Houston Police Department is one of only 19 full-time police sketch artists in the country. Her facial sketches and analytical work have helped law enforcement agents bring in more than 1,062 criminals, a number that has earned her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as "The World's Most Successful Forensic Artist." We showed her close-ups of the beach girl and Lyders, and asked if she thought they were one and the same. Her unbiased professional opinion? Beach girl and Lyders are without a doubt different people. (Note: Before we talked to Gibson, we thought the believers in the switch were, quite simply, insane. Who would go through all the trouble for Taylor Hicks? It's Taylor Hicks, for God's sake! Now, well, we don't quite know what to think.)
• From front to back on the horizontal plane, beach girl's head is much narrower than Lyders'.
• Lyders' mandible—her jawbone and chin—is much larger than beach girl's.
• Lyders' nose protrudes to the front farther off the facial plane than does beach girl's.
• Lyders' ear tilts back farther on the vertical plane than does beach girl's.
• Lyders' ear is lower on the horizontal plane in relation to the eyes and nose than beach girl's.• Lyders' neck is much thinner and longer, in relation to head size, than beach girl's neck.
• Lyders' maxillary and mandibular bones protrude toward the front more than beach girl's.
Any of these independently is enough for our expert to declare without hesitation that beach girl and Lyders are in fact different individuals. "Taken together," Gibson says, the case is a slam dunk. "They are absolute proof that Lyders is not the same female as beach girl."
So are the Internet crazies actually right? Did Hicks really draft someone he didn't know to play his girlfriend because he was afraid his fans would freak out that he—gasp!—made out with some bimbo while on vacation in Hawaii? And did she really go along with it? Tough to say. Reached via cell phone while researching this story for our February issue, Hicks cryptically said, "I have a plane to catch," before hanging up. Recent attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. (He is no longer with Sony, and has been performing in various malls around Southeast Asia.) Lyders has also gone MIA after parting ways with WISN in November. Whatever it was, it was for naught: Lyders and Hicks have supposedly broken up.

Teeheehee!!
WTG, Radar!!!! You think you got a lot of hits from the last story??? Wait 'til the Kool Aid drinkers get a whiff of this one!
Posted by: anti puffy paint on January 28, 2008 11:55 AM
THANK-YOU RADAR!!
Finally a renowned forensic expert opinion confirming what many fans have suspected all last summer and until now!! Actually the two women do look a lot alike from a distance but in detailed closeups, the differences are definitely there. They are not related so there had to be differences. The height is the real clincher. No-one who has seen Caroline Lyders in person can truthfully say she's the girl in the photo because she's SHORT, and petite and finer-boned. The beach girl is TALL (about 5'9"), bigger boned, with long toned legs.
Yes, Caroline Lyders solved Taylor's short-term problem about covering up who the girl in the beach photos was. But she created a long-term problem in wanting publicity with him so she could get a better newscaster job. The "Sham Relationship" prolonged through the summer and fall while she went after that elusive job, which caused one particular website (MFOYA=makingfunofyourass.wordpress.com) to pop up and examine the photos in detail and make the claim that the girl in the photos was not Caroline. Which all led to this article and the truth coming out! So if it had been a temporary fake-girlfriend switcheroo only back in May/June, none of this would have come out and fans would not have known anything. I guess this was meant to come out in the end.
Sorry Taylor, but this was really an incredibly dumb thing to do. We suspect your management pushed it and arranged a lot of it but the responsibility for the whole thing rests with you. Just admit it and move on! Enough is enough!!
Posted by: votem on January 28, 2008 1:21 PM
I think there's more to this story than meets the eye. Taylor had major reasons for doing what he did. He does have a fanbase of uptight, conservative Southerners. Taylor and his management were probably scared to death of losing these fans. If he does lose them, it's a blessing in disguise, IMO. Taylor is not the boy scout he portrayed on AI; that was only a persona he invented to get votes.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 28, 2008 1:23 PM
Well, seems like those so-called "internet crazies" were crazy like foxes. They were right about Caroline NOT being the woman on the beach. It will be interesting to see how the MFOYA-haters spin this.
Posted by: Busted on January 28, 2008 1:29 PM

Posted by: wow on January 28, 2008 1:29 PM
I think your fancy expert made a mistake!! Tay would NEVER lie to his fans! Carline Lyder is a classy and famouse newsreporter who would not lie. That would ruin her reputation!! I bet they are off on their honeymoon somewhere.

After months of infighting, the controversy has been settled. By an objective outsider with years of experience in forensics. I hope that the pro-CL side will gracefully accept defeat, and that all the name-calling will end. Her fans should direct their energies to taking up a collection for her. Because after being exposed as a fraud, she'll be lucky to get hired in the news business in any capacity.
Posted by: Music on January 28, 2008 1:41 PM
I wonder if the wedding planners feel very stupid or are they stupid enough to keep denying it. That's the real tragedy, the fans who still refuse to believe, even after an outsider with years of experience has reviewed the photos.

So this article is wrong and is just trash.
That is picture of Caroline Lyders above with Hicks

They are truly in love and theri love can survive all the jealoussy that we see here. That expert is proabably jealous too. She wants taylor all to herself and that's why she pretends the women are different. Oh, here we go with another 457 grammatically-challenged comments that this magazine will use to poke fun at Taylor and his fans! Look, whether this man lied to us was fundamentally important, as was the fact that he felt compelled within this fan base to do such a stupid thing. It's great gossip, sure, jump on it and make fun of us all. BUT, the fact remains that the man has a serious talent. I'm begging you not to let this craziness on both sides of the street (fans and sham) obscure that. I have said before that I would listen to Taylor's music if he was singing on a street corner, and pay for the privelege. I hope it doesn't come to that.

I am a fan of Taylor's and have always wished him nothing but success. But, this mayhem still puzzles me. I at first also did not think this made sense, what is the point. But, it was also clear to me that these really were 2 different women. Maybe Taylor was trying to control a story and it got out of control on him.
Taylor still rocks in my book.
Now - will the real beach girl please step forward?

Hey, Birmingham has Ruben Studdard, too!!! And don't forget American Idol has-been-who-never-was Bo Bice. Birmingham, where American Idols are born and return to when they want to be forgotten.

I have a feeling Birmingham does not care that much about Taylor Hicks anymore. They have so many idols from there already, Reuben, Bo, Diana.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 28, 2008 5:31 PM
Whoever the chick on the beach is, she got PAID to shut up. I can see how Taylor Hicks would want to hide a booty call from his fan base. These are people that care if he swears? Give me a break.

I'm sure beach girl was payed off to get lost. Something tells me she's a nasty ass skank for them to go to these kinds of extremes. Wanna take bets what her occupation is? Stripper, Call-Girl, Druggie. Can you imagine the scandal this would have caused? The American Idol winner caught canodoling on the beach with a Stripper!!! America, this is who you voted for to be YOUR AMERICAN IDOL! Bwahahahaha!!

As a celebrity (sort of) Hicks should comment if he knows anything about PR. This is pathetic to stay silent this way. Really bad. someone is scorned over a fake doppelganger? Somehow that doesn't make much sense.
Posted by: hollywood on January 28, 2008 7:39 PM
What???
I am so cinfused. When I first saw the photos side by side of Beachie and Caroline- I thought- eh- they were two different people. But as a fan of Taylor I wanted to believe that they were one and the same and that Caroline just looked different in Hawaii with her glasses off.
I don't care if Taylor has 2 blondes who look the same or 72 or them- I am just wondering why both Taylor and Caroline would lead the fans to believe that they were the same girl?
I mean- I don't care if they said- Caroline is different than the Beach girl. But why would Taylor associate with someone who would lead the media and fans to believe she was the girl on the beach???
I just don't get it.
I can't believe Radar had a forensic expert look at the photos and that the expert found the two pics to be different. Holy Cow!

I still don't believe it, radar must really want hits, but what Radar doesn't seem to understand is that NOBODY CARES. Only the 10 or 12 insane people at mfoya and that post here over and over under different names care.
I don't care if there was 1 woman, 2 or 25 , Taylor doesn't care, his fans don't care, nobody cares.
Why can't they understand. NOBODY CARES.
OMG, this is funny. I can not quit laughing. Hahahahahahahhahahaha
Mfoya has succeeded in making complete fools of themselves. They really think someone cares. I guess Radar cares, I don't know. If they do they are harder up than even I thought. Hahahahahahahahahahhahaha

Thanks to Reader for posting what all of Taylor's supporters have always known. He is not gay. His personal life is his business. Just because something is printed in an on-line magazine doesn't make it true. Don't let others do your thinking for you. Think for yourself. Taylor doesn't have to justify anything to anyone. All this talk about Taylor being a 'has-been' and that no one cares about him anymore. Hmm. 'Radar' must. I mean here they are heading up their online magazine with an article about him. As a fan I just want to state: I never, ever drink Kool-Aid, and if Taylor wants to swear, I say: 'Have at it, Tay!' I love you anyway!.

Taylor Hicks is a celebrity. To pull a scam like this is kind of a big deal. Of COURSE people are going to care. I'm not even a Hicks fan and I kind of care! This is interesting!!! If Britney takes a leak people care. Taylor Hicks isn't as famous as Britney - but this BS is pretty outrageous. Especially since he's not that famous. In fact, it's bigger than him.
So they has an insider in Splash news help them with putting a photo of a news anchor? Do you people not understand how insane that is? That is fraud. This is bigger than people are wanting to even admit. What a scam.
Posted by: goodluck on January 28, 2008 10:44 PM
Okay, I've quit laughing, finally, I am totally calm. I pulled my head out of my ass. My mind is quite sound. But guess what, I still don't care. I tried, I really did, but I just don't.
And you can't make me.
Tayors talent is still huge, his voice is still wonderful, Why anybody EVER cared about this is beyond me.
But I am still having trouble believing that Radar hired a forensic expert to look at this silliness. Somebody has just GOT to be kidding.
OK, no more hits for Radar from me, I'm gone. I will be chuckling all nght at people taking this all serious and stuff.. Its TH on the beach people, not the president. LOL

henry8, you have posted on EVERY single taylor site discussing this issue for months and months trying to convince people that it wasn't true. If anything, you CARED and have CARED more than any of the people posting on this site. You CARED to make people believe it was not true. Now that it's true you claim you don't care? oh well, damn, I have to answer rattle and midnight, both from the internet crazies group.
I NEVER cared about how many women there may or may not have been.
It was interesting at first but I NEVER cared.
I used to care about you crazies causing trouble, but it hit me how unimportant you are to anyone and now I don't care at all.
And I could post all day , everyday, for the next 20 years and I couldn't put in as much time as you guys have.
I wasn't the one hunkered over pictures, drawing lines and comparing, looking for birthmarks (LOL) tracking peoples movements, calling their place of work, finding out where they lived, and all the other insane things the mfoya bunch has done. Spending countless hours trying to shop a story to somebody, just anybody. No I didn't do any of that but they did. And a few other things I could mention but I won't right now. I know obsession when I see it honey, and boy have I saw it in you guys.
Posted by: henry8 on January 29, 2008 12:34 AM
Henry8, mfoya proved their case and was right all along. Sounds like they were investigating a scam and yeah they were right to do so. How else does one get to the bottom of things? I suppose Radar and Lois Gibson are obsessed too? nope, just people trying to get the truth. And they did. It bothers you doesn't it? That's too bad.
Posted by: rattle on January 29, 2008 12:41 AM
Radar thinks ANYONE who likes Taylor Hicks and spends time talking about him is CRAZY. Did you miss that last post? Everyone is crazy. Only one group ain't stupid and got to the bottom of the lies. Kudos to them!
Posted by: rattle on January 29, 2008 12:43 AM
henry8, if you truly do not care, then you would not be posting about this subject. It's as simple as that.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 29, 2008 12:55 AM
Radar is an actual publication of some sort. Lois Gibson although self taught has an acutal job for a police department. They are legitimate investigators.
Mfoya is a private citizen. that makes it stalking. I know she likes to think shes something special but she isn't. Simple as that.
And no if it is the truth, it doesn't bother me in the least. Why would I care?
Posted by: henry8 on January 29, 2008 1:32 AM
As a celebrity (sort of) Hicks should comment if he knows anything about PR. This is pathetic to stay silent this way. Really bad. someone is scorned over a fake doppelganger? Somehow that doesn't make much sense.
Why should Taylor's camp comment Hollywood? Radar only wants the hits and MFOYA well, we all know what her motives are.
It isn't worth the energy of addressing. Take the hint from Taylor and move on.
Posted by: Taysupporter on January 29, 2008 1:53 AM
Henry8, drawing lines in pictures to show facial dissimilarities is stalking? Comparing photos of two women is stalking? Doing research to uncover the truth is stalking? In what country? I've been reading that MFOYA site. There's no stalking going on. They're not following the man from city to city. I could point out some people who are. They present facts which are organized to prove a point. How is MFOYA supposed to declare "this is a scam" unless they did their footwork? That would be irresponsible and misleading. A reporter is someone who reports. When they are accurate and report accurately they get far. If MFOYA wanted to be a reporter right now, they actually could put this on their resume. lol This stuff is complicated. They created a site, got together the information and Radar and Lois Gibson took it from there. Without that site making valid points, this would have NEVER been uncovered. Bad example but have you ever heard of Erin Brockavich? Regular old citizens can accomplish a lot. For Taylor Hicks this illusion is really deranged. That's nice that you don't care but it's still a deranged thing to do. It seems like you are trying to veer away from the actual topic at hand. That there's two women and now there's irrefutable proof.

goodluck-you only mentioned about an eighth of what shes done. And yes, I really, really, do consider it stalking IMO. I believe Erin Brockavich uncovered something worth knowing. This is a musicians love life you are talking about.
Maybe he lied. Maybe he didn't . Now thats a big time news story if I ever heard one. NOT.
You will have to carry on with this earth-shattering bulletin without me , I'll be gone a day or two.
I can't imagine that Taylor would ever comment on anything about this, but if he did, it ought to be to tell certain people to get their noses the hell out of his private life. And if he feels like lying to them about his private life he'll do it any time he feels like it.
Thats what I would tell them, he probably won't.
Posted by: henry8 on January 29, 2008 3:15 AM
henry8, when are you going to cough up all this info? Since mfoya has done so so much? Let's see mfoya emailed ruffcorn? What else you got? compared photos. What else? OF COURSE TAYLOR LIED the proof is right here. You know who is a stalker? You are. You basically stalk MFOYA. You are absolutely obsessed with this person and it is downright scary. At least mfoya can accomplish things. You just seem to babble a lot.
Posted by: rattle on January 29, 2008 4:26 AM
Well, he must have forced CL to buy the same earrings and have her hair styled the same as the beach girl then. I guess that is just a coincedence. Put 2 photos side by side, using the same stance, same photographer, same lense, same environment(both standing on a hard flat surface) and same zoom and then if you can still analyze major differences, then I might be convinced. There is way too much room for error in these photos that have been produced, especially to the naked eye.But the bottom line is, who really cares. It is and will always be about the music. Rock on Taylor and more power to him. You nutjobs continue on with your dimwitted conclusions all you want.
Posted by: mandm on January 29, 2008 9:03 AM
henyr8 says, "Only the 10 or 12 insane people at mfoya and that post here over and over under different names care." I have to say, Ms. ManyNames you are no one to cast stones about internet handles, you use a stable of monikers. You are talking out of you ass, you have no idea about what you speak regarding MFOYA, heads up chica, you just think you do.
henry8 why don't you go make your "JUST LEAVE TAYLOR ALONE" video. You and Chris Crocker have much in common.
Posted by: Sunny on January 29, 2008 9:59 AM
henry8, what a lot of comments from someone who doesn't care.
Posted by: SRV on January 29, 2008 10:21 AM
I'm totally fascinated by this Taylor Hick's saga. I like a little celeb gossip as much as the next person. What amazes me is that it was not perpetrated by some rag mag, but it was the different factions of Taylor's fans that were the biggest windmills of this gossip. Radar was smart in picking up this story, they must have received tons of hits from Taylor's warring fanbase along with people just taking a peek into this bizzare world of fandom. It would appear that MFOYA is the winner of the conflict. I was wondering who was the person or news media outlet that first made the assumption and reported the girl on the beach was Caroline? Who's agenda was it to begin this sham?
Posted by: katty on January 29, 2008 10:30 AM
ah my henbry8, pls settle yurself down. i know hicks is sexyness makes all the women crzy but you best to not show the haters you crazy so much. they laff at all us TRUE fans. taylor shoulud not say sorry! for why? sorry for his sexy manhaood? not his blame women cant control feelings like foresncic woman and henry8. give him a break poeples!

Taylor,, you're free. You've been revealed as a guy who had sex with two short haired blondes, wild man. Please start cursing up a storm, take tons of pictures with many more hos and get rid of the nuts in your fan base who can't handle it. You should have done this months ago. Free at last. (Going on Stern today and talking about smelly genitals was a great start.)
Posted by: omaha on January 29, 2008 4:21 PM
Sorry, but I think he might have had sex with just ONE short haired blond.
Posted by: hollywood on January 29, 2008 5:04 PM
omaha, Hicks was on Stern? Seriously? Doubt he'd talk about smelly genitalia though - I'd have to hear it with my own ears. Bwhahahaha! That's funny. Thanks.
Posted by: SRV on January 29, 2008 5:09 PM
yoko love balk. wow. so i guess assigning stories should forever take into account who has the most rabid fanbase sure to post. unbelievable.
CLAYMATES!!! Do the moms know about the world wide web? I'm sure claymates know how to claypost. Go gayken go, do it to it.
Posted by: yoko on January 29, 2008 6:13 PM
I don't think the part of Taylor's fanbase that thought he was going to be canonized , then seeing Radar show proof, that he might really be a man-ho, that got his rocks off with a beach bunny, can take too much more mental anguish. Taylor and his Soul Patrol fans need a little break so they can sooth themselves. Whatever he said to Stern, was probably just taken out of context. Taylor would never talk about smelly genitalia, maybe is he was talking about baseball, "foul balls." or that he had to hurry home and empty his cat's litter box, "stinky pussy". There is always a way to put a spin on anything.
Posted by: katty on January 29, 2008 6:24 PM
HA!
Posted by: hollywood on January 29, 2008 6:44 PM
Too funny. The conspiracy was true. Man, it would suck to be Hicks right now. Kudos RADAR for "settling" the matter. I'll be laughing my ass off for the next few hours. Hicks had a fake girlfriend because he banged a slut on the beach and didn't want the grannies to know. I won't if he said fuck while he banged her?
Posted by: fletch on January 29, 2008 8:05 PM
Another thing, if Taylor Hicks doesn't comment on this he's more of a pussy than I thought.
Posted by: fletch on January 29, 2008 8:07 PM
Yo...Da whole thing is bafflin wit my head. Why is dis so hard for all to understand? Da peoples dat started dis crap are da ones dat wanted da man and he don't want their asses. Da hoochies got pissed and started da scam-po Taylor and CL is gettin dis crap and don't deserve da rap. Da truth be it started wit da one dey calls Dana.
Posted by: babyphat on January 29, 2008 10:54 PM
babyphat,
Your post is a hoot. It reminds me of that great line in the movie "Airplane!": "Oh stewardess! I speak jive." ROTFLMAO.
So what I think you're saying is this mysterious Dana somehow forced Taylor Hicks to make out on a Maui beach with a shady tall blonde, be caught by the paparazzi, and arrange to substitute the similar-looking but respectable newscaster Caroline Lyders to play his girlfriend to hide that he was caught with a skank? It's got to be all Dana's fault then that Radar has now proven that the girl on the beach was never Caroline Lyders. This Dana is certainly all-powerful. LOL. It's hilarious the lengths some fans try NOT to place the responsibility where it belongs - all on Taylor Hicks himself!
Posted by: votem on January 30, 2008 12:20 AM
fletch,
The betting is Taylor won't comment about this. He doesn't want to lie any more. He doesn't want to tell the truth either now he's been caught out. So he stays silent. For him it's like pleading the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination without saying the actual words.
Posted by: votem on January 30, 2008 12:46 AM
yo votem- You takes da words and twists da words to suits yo needs? Dats not what da man says. You sees, da ones dat thinks dat dis is true is crazy like da nights. Ain't nuthin proved. Da shots wit da camera ain't da shots dat was looked at by dis offiscal. Dey was da ones dis MFOYA had taken to da docta. Dats right, doctared dem up. So da comparisons was to compare what was already da fakes. How's dat da proof? It ain't no proof, just a spoof. Da rains be fallin but nobody done got wet cause it ain't no real rain but a bunch of hot air.

I was wondering: where is the official statement from Lois Gibson saying she studied these photos and found them to be of two completely different women? I have been to her web site, and found no mention of Taylor HIcks, these pictures, or anything to do with this 'fake girlfriend' thing. Hmm. There was all kinds of stories and pictures of other cases she has helped solve, including the 'Baby Grace' case. I would think she add the case of Taylor's supposedly 'fake' girlfriend to her list of cases she assisted with. Makes me wonder about things. Has she really seen the photos? Or is someone putting words in her mouth? Maybe this whole thing is just a scam to try and get Taylor to comment. Obviously, he's a heck of a lot smarter than SOME people. We live in a world where so many things we have believed through the years have been proven to be lies. Is this one more lie in a long series? Just asking. Something to think about at any rate.

labelle_31, e.mail her, she'll answer you. She did me. She's convinced it is two women. Go seek for yourself.

SRV I have taken your advice. I am currently waiting for Lois Gibson to respond. I will post one way or the other. I also listened to a clip of Taylor Hicks talking to Howard Stern. He was interviewed (extremely briefly) at a golf course. He made no reference at all to 'stinky pussy'. Howard Stern asked Taylor if he would come on his radio show. Taylor said 'yes'. Howard asked, 'even if I bust your balls?' Taylor said, ' sure, it's all in good fun, right? And anyway, maybe Howard's the one with smelly genitalia.' As far as I know, genitalia is not dirty word. He was far better spoken than that pimple on the face of humanity, Howard Stern. Why is everyone so down on Taylor? Is he perfect? No, of course not. But he is human, just like all of us.

Posted by: labelle_31 on January 30, 2008 5:46 AM
IT is part of humanity, our imperfections. Most likely RADAR finds much of the fascination with this story in the knot of fans that are so obsessed with Hicks they'll practically kill should anyone even seem to insult him. These fans are so overzealous in their adoration for the man they can't accept imperfections or differences in anyone they might even slightly perceive as not the same, what's the term...Taylorized as they are. I've been reading that word a lot on blogs concerning Hicks. Sounds almost cultish, no? ha.
Posted by: SRV on January 30, 2008 7:41 AM
babyphat,
Still in theme are you? LOL. It is amusing. Carry on.
Lois Gibson and Radar had access to the original Splash photos from the Splash photos private directory which is available to media sources. Ms Gibson apparently said it was an easy comparison based on all the photos given to her that the woman on the beach wasn't Caroline Lyders. She did it only by the harder facial comparison because the women are similar looking facially when the clincher is actually the major height differences and bone structure differences between the two women. You can confirm with Ms Gibson. She has been responding back to those who email her.
Posted by: votem on January 30, 2008 9:34 AM
babyphat,
Quit using that software that converts your posts to jive and start talking like an intelligent human being...or is that asking too much??? Your shit is getting old.
Posted by: anti puffy paint on January 30, 2008 9:40 AM
SRV,
It sure sounds like the faction of this fanbase that have become "Taylorized" are bound together in group think and that could be seen as a little cultish. Some still defend Taylor even when presented with the facts by, MYFOA/ Radar/ Lois Gibson, that the object of their worship duped them and maybe laughed at them for being gullable enough to believe his Ho- switcheroo. For those that now want to be De-Taylorized , may I suggest a book by Margaret Thaler Singer: Cults in our Midst.
Posted by: katty on January 30, 2008 11:18 AM
this isn't even funny anymore. some of you people are just suck and need some kind of mental help. radar has confirmed with an expert that those photos are of someone different. there's no debate anymore. move on and stop making yourself look like such an embarrassment to the human species. it's fucking taylor hicks you losers! so he scammed you. he's a scammer. get over it.
Posted by: uppereast on January 30, 2008 12:09 PM
katty,
You hit the nail on the head. It all comes down to American Idol and thinking the guy is god-like and in some ways he's not even human to some of them. He's like some sacred entity. Maybe it's hero worship and people looking for a role model. Sad, but you will be let down all the time.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 30, 2008 12:12 PM
The fans that flock to Idol contestants seem to contain a tad bit more intensity than the majority of the fans following other interests. Look at the storied ClayMates for another frenzied fancult.
Write a story about Clay other than glowing praise and they'll swarm the site like killer bees. Hicks' fans that found him on Idol are that same type. I'm beginning to think that these folks know no other music, just what has been brought into their living room via a reality television program.
I've read pieces in which the Hicks fans praise the writer and their writing ability no matter how badly the prose, how amateurish the style, how grammatically challenged the article might be. Then pieces put out by a writer with apparent skills, dare write a questionable, not even negative article and the responses documented are angry and borderline crazed. The writer deemed unworthy to publish, etc. It's disturbingly funny.
katty, your book by Ms. Singer, perfect. Please those like that one henry8 poster, run don't walk to the nearest Barnes and Noble. Buy. that. book.
Should he go on Howard Stern, let's hope Stern and co. bring this up. Should be fun.

*******************************************************************
This is possibly the most ignorant statment made on this blog. I'm not making any fans look ignorant you moron. You and your silly MFOYA rantings have done that on your own.
Taylor is doing exactly as he should by not commenting. I'm sure his Managment, PR person, and Attorney have all told him the same thing.
The only reason you want him to comment is so that you all have something more ugly to say about him. He's not taking the bait. Smart move....
Posted by: Taysupporter on January 30, 2008 1:12 PM
I really think that most of the Soul Patrol are former Claymates. Clay was too gay for them, so they moved over to Taylor.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 30, 2008 2:00 PM
you might have a point midnight11, they seem to fit the demographics.
Posted by: SRV on January 30, 2008 9:17 PM
If these Soul Patrollers were once fans of Clay Aikens, and I hear those fans were a might intense bunch, then they fit the profile of what Einstein described as insane. "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Taylor is busy working on his new CD. He isn't commenting because he doesn't care about this...he knows its a load of garbage.
Any "fan" who thinks they are intitled to the "truth" about someone else's personal life should find themselves a good therapist immediately.
Radar...using Mfoya as a source of information shows how lacking in credibility you are.
This article illustrated one important point....even supposed experts are not infallible and are sometimes WRONG. I wonder why a credible expert would want to involve themself in a bizarre attempt to damage the reputations of two individuals that they don't even know.
And, to repeat a point that has been made many times, Taylor doesn't care, the majority of the world doesn't care about this. This should be obvious from the fact that no reputable news source has mentioned this HUGE scandal.
Now I think everyone should get on with their own lifes.
Posted by: Mystified on January 31, 2008 2:43 PM
Mystified,
The only reason a reputable news source has not mentioned this is because Taylor Hicks is not popular anymore. Trust me, if he was a bigger name, it would be all over.
Posted by: midnight11 on January 31, 2008 3:10 PM
You said it yourself midnight11. "The only reason a reputable news source has not mentioned this is because Taylor Hicks is not popular anymore."
In other words RADAR is not reputable as well as MFOYA .

Uppereast- Its called an expert OPINION, not an expert fact. Gibson is entitled to her OPINION, but that does not make it fact. And since neither she, you, or any one else who has posted here was there, its all just speculation.
And I doubt that if Taylor were more popular this non-story would be all over reputable news outlets. Reputable outlets have the sense NOT to engage in unproven gossip and rumor.
Radar, why would you consider the answer "I have a plane to catch" convoluted? It seems pretty clear to me.
Taylor is living his life, not stressing about this crap. He is happy and excited about his work on his new CD. He has a real life and he is enjoying it. And, I suspect that he doesn't spend his time wishing gloom, doom, and disaster on others. Perhaps some of the posters here should "investigate" why they have nothing better to do with their lives than try to ruin the happiness of others.
Hate is an ugly thing.
Posted by: Mystified on January 31, 2008 6:29 PM
mystified,
It may be Ms. Gibson's opinion, but she has been established as an expert. in her field and her opinions are highly regarded due to her proven consistent accuracy. OTHO, I was wondering how you became an expert and what are your credentials for assessing the state of happiness or stress level of someone else's life. What criteria did you use to make your assessment of Taylor's joy and state of well being. Were you able to determine that from his answer" I have a plane to catch"? Or perhaps do you know him on a personal level? ... Just wondering.

Talk about denial. Let's put it this way toots, anyone that reads this article walks away saying: that's not anchor lady and Taylor Hicks is full of it. So.....you can get with the real world or live in lala land. Sounds like lala land is more your style.

Actually, I have never met Taylor Hicks, and have never claimed that I know him. I do, however, have a very good friend who's husband likes to golf an awful lot....in fact, thats how he supports his family. It seems to be a good life, and as an added bonus, he sometimes meets famous people from the entertainment industry.
Taylor is just fine, concentrating on the new cd and other career opportunities. Apparently totally unfazed by the horrible crisis that you all think is dragging him down and destroying his life....go figure. Maybe he doesn't know how tragic his life is..or maybe you people are all full of-well I don't have to say it because I'm pretty sure that you know what all this is a big old pile of.

These are the photos that this forensic person reviewed? (See Below) The photos from MFOYA's website that are photoshopped... enlarged... flipped...manipulated beyond belief? What kind of an expert would even bother? First and foremost, there is no analysis posted from this forensic expert...no data...nothing. I have seen where others are interested in seeing statistics...if this is actual and not some opinion from borrowed copies.Just a few "so called" quotes about copied photos that are from a blog that hates Taylor's guts? and are jealous of Caroline Lyders? MFOYA has no originals... PALEEZE!!! Give me a friggin break...I have heard it all now...ROFLMAO...I heard the tall tale about access to Splash's original photos...Radar does not say that...they say the photos are complimentary of MFOYA...I doubt seriously that Splash would allow anyone access to their private stash of photos of anyone...and an ORIGINAL means ORIGINAL. Ya know...like Taylor said..."The internet is a dark dark place"...Some have nothing better to do than to intentionally make asses out of themselves...and it ain't me. If you want to keep up this ludicris attempt to cast hate everywhere you can MF? Then...we know where you will be when the Grim Reaper comes a calling.
EYES ASKEW Lyders vs. Hicks' mystery woman (Photo: Courtesy of MFOYA.com)
The differences, according to Gibson--none of which can be faked without comprehensive, extraordinarily risky facial reconstructive work:
• From front to back on the horizontal plane, beach girl's head is much narrower than Lyders'.
• Lyders' mandible--her jawbone and chin--is much larger than beach girl's.
• Lyders' nose protrudes to the front farther off the facial plane than does beach girl's.
• Lyders' ear tilts back farther on the vertical plane than does beach girl's.
FACE OFF Head-to-head views of Lyders and Hicks' beach companion (Photo: Courtesy of MFOYA.com ) • Lyders' ear is lower on the horizontal plane in relation to the eyes and nose than beach girl's.
• Lyders' neck is much thinner and longer, in relation to head size, than beach girl's neck.
Posted by: celebrityblondebabe on February 1, 2008 1:09 AM
Splash New sells their photos and only mags have access to their private site http://www.splashnews.com/ that's the site where all the photos are stored and you don't have a password cause you're not a magazine. If you have a brain in your head you know that Lois Gibson analyzed a lot of photos not the ones posted on the article dumbass! Did you expect Radar to post 700 photos of the beach ho and Carolyn Lyders? When a magazine does an article about a case, do you expect them to print up all the paper work and documents! You're a fucking idiot if you do! haha!

Even diehard realists when faced with shocking hard cold facts, to alleviate the stress of having to face reality ,may take a short daytrip to La La land. The realist once in that land will look around and think , the butterflies here are way too big, it is not realistic to think those sweet little puppies are never going to poop on the carpet and that big bright glittery rainbow is blinding me. They get the hell out of that fantasy isle as quickly as possible and move back to normalville. The Loonies, will take a trip into LaLaland and set up permanent residence there on Loon Lane and will continue to skip hand and hand together forever in their fantasy. Happiness is a warm fuzzy delusion.

I have stayed out of this as long as I can... Celebrityblondebabe you have proved your complete insanity right now in a public forum. That brunette in the pink is not Caroline Lyders. You obviously don't know what the hell she looks like or are too goddamn stupid and blind to know that just because her name pops up next to a search does not mean that is her. My name pops up next to a picture of a building. Use your eyes. I cannot believe that your friends or whoever you run with are not kind enough to tell you that.
It's just embarrassing that Taylor's fans are so psychotic that they actually question an expert that is the best in her field because her conclusion does not fit into what they had hoped or dreamed. You realize people are reading this site? You realize that you people are making a mockery and an embarrassment of Taylor Hicks?
Gibson has already proved this case. Making up stupid excuses and running in circles will never change that. She has a flawless reputation and all the things she states are true. The ears , the neck, the mandible etc.
Radar has written they have "settled the controversy" GET OVER IT. Everyone else is. Taylor lied to his fans SO THE FUCK WHAT? The mfoya people don't even seem to give a rats ass if he lied, it's the psycho rabid ones that seem to think it's the end of the world. You are disgusting!
Posted by: baffle on February 1, 2008 3:35 PM
Baffle...That would be apropos...that your photo would pull up a building. Cold and less than human. I dare say that I negate further arguments with you or any others...as it would be child's play and an easy victory. I find that I don't have, "Too much time on my hands!"

I came to this site one Sunday morning just surfing the net..I'm a voracious reader and news junkie. I have found the Land-o-Hicks beyond fascinatng. There are some very interesting posters here. Some are logical and intelligent , like SRV, fletch, uppereast, votem and now, baffle, I know there were others, I have forgotten to mention. Midnight and anti-puffy paint, I really enjoyed your posts, you both are a hoot! Then there are the ones like celebrityblondebabe, mystified, reader, babyphat and others that scare the bejeepers out of me,you seriously seem a little tetched. RADAR, thanks for the view into this unexpected and bizarre world of fandom. Peace, Out...

For the others...that don't use such vile language...and some that are possibly lurking...the whole point in posting the AOL search above...was to show that it was AOL that made the mistaken identity...if it was...of Caroline Lyders. The opposite of what the peons in the peanut gallery have stated...See the statement below that they are referring to...from another fansite...If you can't trust AOL...then you sure as hell can not trust MFOYA...a blog that exsists of jealous felines and possibly a tom or two...that are obsessed with Taylor having had a relationship with Caroline Lyders. A group of people that are so hell bent on "making fun" of everyone and everything that does not FIT into their evil plan/plot...It is notable that some have come over here to defend Taylor's honor...after all...he said that it WAS Caroline on the beach...not that it makes any difference at all...none at all. It would not matter to his NORMAL fans if he dates as many women as he can get into his day/week/month/year/life. We like the fact that he is entertaining women in his life which will make for better music, IMO...and in most people's NORMAL opinions. No one cares. However, I have cared about voicing my opinion which I speak for many that are secure human beings that this type of slanderous and hateful internet bashing...harassment...is not acceptable. Not acceptable for anyone with any kind of a heart, soul, morals and integrity which comes with truth. Having voiced my opinion without having been banned/deleted/ or scensored...is a good thing. I have nothing more to say. It is over. There is no proof. There are no documents to confirm these accusations...no letter from this "so called" expert...no reference to anything...Just a rag/mag stating brief...inconclusive pieces of sentences that state nothing. IF there had been a person hired to do this...there would be an analysis/evaluation of which should be available for us all to read. There is nothing. SO...it is all heresay...have a great day.
Post: #389RE: Everyone's Mean to Taylor: The Thread of Angst, Conspiracy, and Woe
Just thought I would post an article that I was sent a long time ago when Taylor first started dating Caroline Lyders. I looked at the photos and just could not believe that they were INDEED Caroline Lyders. She has many many looks...she can change it up...I think that is a good thing. I know the issues of her on the beach have been a real thorn in the sides of many of us...because we know that if Taylor said it was her...it WAS her. The comparisons of the beach photos and Caroline's work photos and the New York photos with Taylor have been thru scrutiny...and they looked so much alike...but the lady has a much wider range of looks...Thought I would show those of you that are not so sure ...a few snapshots of CL that show how different she can look how she is really quite beautiful, blonde or not...check this out. P.S......She is wearing a pink sweater...you would probably not know it was her without my telling you. Zoom away...make sure to close your mouth...

Honey, you are backpedaling. This is over... it's already been settled. Radar settled it thankfully. Your strange conspiracy theories about some evil blogger that manipulated the media and forensic experts are in your head... you know like "A Beautiful Mind"? It wasn't real... understand? It's going to be ok... just calm down and realize it's just in your head.

Glad to see that there are quite a few that are on Taylor's side in this and maybe we can turn this site around...The people that read here go over to the MF site...and post there as I am told. Well...who else is out there in support of this all being lies? Don't lurk. I hope I have not offended anyone that is a true fan of Taylor Hicks...that was not my intention!

midnight11,
So you agree that you're mental and read trash rags. Hahahahaha!

Midnight...I do enjoy a gossip magazine from time to time...who doesn't? But, we all know that THEY ARE NOT TRUE...you may get a few little tidbits...but, they make their money off of the ads and people that buy them. They get sued all the time for their lies...and they make so much money that they hire big time lawyers and sometimes settle out of court...What celeb has the time to fool with it? So...yes, but had never heard of Radar until this debocle.
Posted by: celebrityblondebabe on February 1, 2008 9:49 PM
I do not agree with anyone that would believe that these photos have not been altered. I do not believe that anyone would not know that these photos are anything other than Caroline Lyders...there are friends of mine that have met her...talked to her...sat with her at a club...without a doubt, know that it was her on the beach with Taylor. No doubt. That does not make ME mental...that makes no sense. However, the ones that go to such extremes to try to make up this stuff are mental. Just pretend that he was with someone else...what the hell would it matter? It would not matter if she had been in prison...or had an illigetimate child...or was just an 18 year old wild child in Playboy...it would not matter. Hollywood is wild...people in the celebrity world and especially bands...are basically and usually wild. I don't think that Taylor is wild...but, I think he still has a few wild oats to sew. So what? What difference would it make. AND...NO ONE from AI would give a flying fig if he were caught with a slut...so what...they don't care about him...the record label has not cared about him...IMO...WHO CARES???? I have heard who does. I know. They are the most ill humans that I have ever heard about. They have hatred in their hearts. I don't know...maybe you are MF...if you are...well...you need to rethink your life. This is not normal. If MF owned a magazine and was a gossip columnist...then, let's get it on...but, talk about others as well...it is obvious that Taylor Hicks and Caroline Lyders are some kind of a fantasy and obsession. His music and his persona...I adore. He is a good looking man. HOWEVER, I am not interested one little bit about him in a personal way. No way. First of all...he is too young...and not my type. WHY do all these women that have no chance with him...think that they have a chance...and if they find out that they don't...they create HATE. Just amazes me...I have come to the realization that a lot of women are desperate. Just makes me ill to think about it.

katty,
Thanks for the compliment. There are some here who present logical arguments, and there are others who represent the worst of the kool-aid-drinking Taylor fans in denial. You can see that some of them posted above me. Their postings reflect badly on Taylor and his fans, but I don't think it's fair to say they represent all of his fans. I have known many good and decent fans of his, who are not blindly close-minded, and who are realistic that he isn't some sort of god-like being incapable of making a mistake. They know he made a huge error in judgment about the pretend girlfriend sham and he is still paying for the mistake. But he never expected to be caught either.
Radar's nationally renowed expert, Lois Gibson did NOT make a mistake. The woman in the photos and Caroline Lyders are two separate but similar-looking women - one very tall, the other very short. Caroline's co-workers, her friends and family, and of course her boyfriend Aaron Ruffcorn know it. (Aaron supported her, hoping that she pretending to be an American Idol's pretend girlfriend would bring them both of them publicity advantages). Taylor's friends and family know about the sham. Those who know them know it. There are only a few fanatics left like 'celebrityblondebabe/Jeanni' and 'reader', who refuse to see the truth even when hit in the face with it. There are none so blind as those who will not see. They will continue in their deliberate blindness. Taylor obviously knows the truth but is unwilling to come clean publicly. His silence speaks volumes though.

Some posters here really seem to lack savvy in regards to media. Let me explain a few things:
If this story was not true the subjects of this article (being that they are public people) would have right to sue Radar and every one of those blog sites. Anyone in the public eye relies on reputations and search engines such as Google. Celebs of any caliber will go all out to protect their names, especially if the accusations are false. This is the business. So far Radar has written 3 articles covering this, it pops right up in the search engines. No request for retraction has been made, no legal action has been noted. That tells you all you need to know.
As you people might be aware, Heath Ledger passed recently. Immediately the British tabloid reporter drug abuse, after 24 hours, there was no cease and decease orders - what did that mean? The accusations were true. Now we find out, yes indeed they are.
Being that this Hicks guy is the American Idol, being accused of scamming his fans is lethal. If it was not true, action would have been taken in various forms to clear his name. None have been taken. Don't give me some ignorant reply as if Hicks does not "care." That is not a reality in his business nor something he can afford to ignore. One your reputation is smeared, it is very hard to rebuild. This counts for the anchor as well.
Just a little more education, Radar is a very popular magazine that's read by the upper echelon of America, young urbanites ranging from 25-35. Which might explain why many of you have never heard of it since American Idols viewer demographic is the complete opposite. Most everyone in the entertainment industry from Los Angeles to NYC reads Radar or has heard of Radar. The editor of this magazine was the editor of New York Magazine, another well known publication with hard reporting skills.
Star Magazine, and those type of publications cater to the middle class and are deemed tabloid. However, even they must abide by journalistic integrity or the lawsuits deplete all their potential profit.
To insinuate that Radar is analyzing "photoshopped" photos is asinine, to insinuate that an expert forensic analyst is analyzing "photoshopped" photos is even more asinine. These people are trained and skilled - their names and reputations are on the line. If Lois Gibson was incorrect she would have more to lose than Radar. She would have her reputation and she would be open to a lawsuit. Gibson, with her expertise and unlimited knowledge, has confirmed that these are undoubtedly two women. Not to mention, the woman in the photo appears much taller then the other.
Every reporter for Radar has hard reporting skills as well. They do RESEARCH. They call, they follow-up and no they do not tell you that in the article. Radar was given info from someone else stating these two are "broken up" they do not rely on a blog, they rely on sources and use links for the blog to make the article more colorful. Its quite simple.
Radar has conclusively stated the women are not the same. No matter how many excuses fans come up with, it will never change that reality. This was a publicity scam. If one is aware of publicity surrounding the Hollywood machine, the Idols reaction would make sense. His fans are not open to him being a "Player" therefore he presented an image that he was the opposite. It is really not that difficult to understand if you have a logical outlook on who this person is. Chances are his publicist created this false image. Blame them.
If you continue to make absurd arguments attempting to disprove the final analysis, I consider you attempt bringing on another forensic expert (though they will be even less skilled since Gibson is the best in her field) and I can assure you the conclusion of two women will be the same. These people are professionals, you are not.

So there you have it...case closed...I am going to bed...geeze!
Posted by: celebrityblondebabe on February 2, 2008 12:17 AM
Celebrityblondebabe, are you in fifth grade? If you are I apologize for being so technical: Generic TAC's displayed on internet sites are not and have never been a defense for libel, slander and/or defamation, which is why websites are sued daily and which is why media publications must report with accuracy. Any time an inaccuracy is "published" (and that does not have to be in print) which is damaging to the reputation of the plaintiff, they have the right to sue and in most cases will be victorious IF the allegations are blatant lies which can be proven. Do your homework. This is basic law. The only defense for libel/slander/defamation is the "truth." If they cannot prove that it is true, then it's 99.9% of the time because it is actually a lie and they have no grounds. It seems you are not well-versed in these areas. This is the USA, the sue-happy capital of the world. If this was all lies, there would be grounds to sue Radar, the blogs and Gibson.
So if what you say is true and they are being libeled, slander, and photoshopped, then Taylor Hicks is the stupidest man in America and the news anchor is the stupidest woman in American which is why they don't sue when they have grounds and instead prefer to have their reputations smeared from here to perpetuity (since the information highway is permanent)
OR they just don't have a case because none of the 3 cause of actions are being committed and the information being written about them is indeed the truth.
Posted by: Michael on February 2, 2008 1:27 AM
Please Lord don't tell me celebrityblonde is now trying to convince others that Hicks doesn't have the right to sue if this was untrue. Dear Lord, please. Because that's takes crazy a tad too far.

Maybe we should talk and talk and talk about it till someone really gives a damn. See you all at the concerts.
