Thomas Ravenel Sues Bravo For ‘Encouraging’ Kathryn To File For Primary Custody
Kathryn Dennis filed for primary custody of her two children with disgraced Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel. Ravenel is fighting back by suing Bravo and production company Haymaker Media, Inc, accusing them of encouraging Dennis to file the lawsuit to stir up drama for the upcoming season, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
In court papers obtained from Charleston Family Court in South Carolina, Ravenel claimed Bravo and the production company, “encouraged, condoned and/or gave Plaintiff express or implied consent to initiate a lawsuit against the Third Party Plaintiff for custody of Plaintiff’s and Third Party Plaintiff’s minor children.”
“The Plaintiff filed and was encouraged to file this lawsuit for the express or implied purpose of providing material for the filming of Season 6 of Southern Charm,” the November 6 counterclaim continued.
Ravenel believes Dennis filed for primary custody of Kensie, 4, and Saint, 2, on or around the time she began filming.
Ravenel was informed that the Defendants have unaired footage of the minor children and/or Dennis discussing the litigation, which the Plaintiff’s intend to air for season six.
“The Third Party Plaintiff requests that this Court enjoin the Third Party Defendants from disseminating and/or airing any Season 6 and/or otherwise unaired video footage which features the minor children in this matter and/or which directly or indirectly concerns the minor children, this litigation, and/or the custody dispute between the Plaintiff and the Third Party Plaintiff, and permanently," the filing continued.

He is also asking the Defendants to pay all attorneys’ fees.
In his response to Dennis’ request for primary custody, he claimed she filed the action for “sole and/or primary purpose of securing her role on the reality TV show and progressing her storyline as the “rehabilitated Mother who regains possession of her minor children.”
“Defendant is informed and believes it is not coincidental that Plaintiff initiated this litigation during the filming of the next season of Southern Charm,” the filing claimed.
Dennis filed the motion to modify their custody agreement on October 25.
A South Carolina judge ruled Ravenel is heading to trial. In September, he was arrested and charged with assault and battery in the second degree by “Nanny Dawn,” who helped care for the children on the show.
Ravenel is not returning to the Bravo series.
