After ten years and two gorgeous adorable children together, Neil Patrick Harris and his longtime love, actor and chef David Burtka, finally tied the knot, the former How I Met Your Mother star confirmed on Twitter this morning.
“Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy,” he announced to his nearly 10 million followers. “Yup, we put the ‘n’ and ‘d’ in ‘husband.’”
According to People, the NYC-based couple donned custom Tom Ford tuxedos as they exchanged vows in front of their officiator, How I Met Your Mother director and close friend Pam Fryman.
Elton John performed at the reception, which was also attended by the newlyweds’ nearly 4-year-old twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott.
In 2011, the Emmy-winner, 41, revealed that he and Burtka, 39, had secretly been engaged for five years.
