John Travolta might have seemed like Prince Charming on the Nov. 1985 night he danced on the White House floor with Princess Diana, but his alleged ex-lover Doug Gotterba said that the Saturday Night Fever hunk only had eyes for him at the end of the evening.

“If Diana only knew the truth!” Gotterba — who said he bedded the A-lister on that very night — tells this week’s edition of The National ENQUIRER.

As we previously reported, the 62-year-old Grease star’s one-time pilot is currently working toward releasing a tell-all about the six years he spent in a relationship with the Look Who’s Talking hunk.

Gotterba recalled to the ENQUIRER how “John looked very handsome in his tux and he was convinced that Diana was physically attracted to him” when he returned to the upscale hotel they had spent the evening at, following the state dinner.

The lavish event was hosted by then-President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy, who was the one that “whispered in John’s ear that Diana wanted to dance with him and he should ask her,” Gotterba told the ENQUIRER.

“When John got back to the hotel, he was over the moon!” he recalled. “John cherished the moment like it was his own.”
