The bad news is that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have broken up — the good news (for anyone single) is that JLaw is officially back on the market.

RadarOnline.com has confirmed that Lawrence, 23, and Hoult, 24, are going their separate ways and has all the exclusive details leading up to the split.

"It was a mutual split. There was no scandal , no cheating," a close pal of the duo exclusively told Radar.

"The distance was just too much. It put a strain on the relationship and it just wasn't working anymore."

And while Hoult was recently photographed with actress Kristen Stewart, the insider confirms that the actor has indeed moved on and has been dating — but just doesn't think he's hooking up with the Twilight star.

"Nick has been dating several girls for the past few weeks. But he and Jennifer have been broken up longer than people realize," the source said.

"I don't think there's any truth to the rumors that Nick and Kristen are dating. I'd be really, really shocked if it's true."

But suitors lining up for a shot with the Silver Linings Playbook star don't stand much a chance, according to the insider.

"Jennifer is not in a hurry to jump into another relationship ," the source added.

"She's just too busy."
