Nearly a month after her boyfriend’s tragic, unexplained death, Glee actress Becca Tobin is speaking out.
The 28-year-old, who has remained uncharacteristically silent on social media since her nightlife entrepreneur beau Matt Bendik, 35, was discovered dead in his Philadelphia hotel room on July 10, posted an adorable photo on Instagram with a message to her fans.
“Thank you for all the love and support,” the blond beauty captioned an undated picture of the ill-fated couple. “Matt was the most extraordinary man I knew and he will live in my heart forever.”
Glee’s villainous cheerleader Kitty soon received an outpouring of support from her many followers.
“Stay strong! We love you! Everything will get better,” posted one fan.
“We’re here for you,” said another.
An autopsy did not identify a clear cause of death for Bendik, and no drugs were found at the scene. The results of additional tests are still pending.
The shocking loss occurred just less than a year after Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead from a drug overdose in a Vancouver hotel room at 31. His girlfriend, costar Lea Michele, 27, commemorated the first anniversary of the tragic star’s death on July 13 with a heartfelt tweet: “We will love you and miss you always.”
