Police in London Thursday confirmed sprouting reports that Peaches Geldof’s death last month was indeed drug-related, as her "recent use of heroin," and "the levels identified” in subsequent tests, "were likely to have played a role in her death."

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said a brief inquest on Thursday that the fashionista’s post-mortem examination was deemed inconclusive, leading to a call for more tests to be done in connection with her April 7 death.

Inquests are traditionally held when initial autopsies do not spell out the cause of death in a clear manner.

The latest info obviously draws sad parallels in the death of Geldof’s mother Paula Yates, who fatally overdosed 14 years ago when the late Peaches was 11-years-old.
