One of the biggest blowups from last season’s Real Housewives of Orange Country came from an unlikely source when Ryan Culberson, Vicki Gunvalson’s son-in-law, went on a tirade against Lydia McLaughlin's mom during the Winter Wonderland party.

Now RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Marine has decided to seek help for the post-traumatic stress that has stemmed from his five combat deployments in Afghanistan.

“I know I've been painted in some not so great light in the past season and after some deep soul searching I decided to reach out and get some help with the PTSD I have been dealing with for quite awhile,” Culberson exclusively told Radar.

He’ll be taking part in a five-day Save a Warrior program, which involves physical activities like rock-climbing and horse-riding as well as meditation techniques aimed at helping Marines to effectively deal with anxiety.

A production company will be filming the event for a documentary, which is expected to air on CNN.

“A guy I work with told me about the program he attended and it literally saved and changed his life. I'm really excited to go… I've known for awhile I needed something so hopefully this program is what I need,” said Culberson, who got back from Afghanistan last October.

For Culberson, the program comes at an important time as his wife, Briana Wolfsmith-Culberson, is getting ready to give birth to their second son.

“We are expecting our second child, so very exciting times!” he said.

Last season on RHOC, the couple welcomed their first son, born in September 2012, via emergency C-section.
