Looks like Justin Bieber's public compliment to ex Selena Gomez during the Academy Awards worked.
The on-again-off-again couple was spotted having breakfast together on Friday morning in Texas, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
Bieber, 20, and Gomez, 22, dined at Don Pepe's Restaurant in McAllen and one lucky Twitter user managed to snap a photo of the two exiting the venue.

According to reports, Bieber ordered the huevos rancheros while Gomez had chilaquiles.
Gomez confirmed her presence in Texas, Instagramming the following photo:
Gomez has a show scheduled at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo on March 8.
Before Jelena reunited on Friday, Bieber was in Miami to give a deposition surrounding a lawsuit against him by a local paparazzo.
