Mick Jagger Back In The States As L’Wren Scott Funeral Plans Commence; Designer's Sister Says She Craved To Have A Family

Funeral arrangements in New York City are underway for the late designer, whose death was formally declared a suicide earlier this week. In a statement, the Rolling Stone rocker's rep said that privacy would be appreciated "during this very difficult time."

Back In The States

The Rolling Stones frontman was back from Australia, and in Los Angeles, where his daughters Karis, Elizabeth and Georgia May were by his side to console him, while his other children Jade and Jimmy were en route. The music icon's publicist clarified that he "will stay in L.A. while the funeral arrangements are being made in New York.”

Lost Dreams

Scott's estranged sister Jan Shane, speaking with Inside Edition Thursday, opened up about her late sister's desires and passions -- which included family at the top of the list. She recalled a discussion with the late designer in which she pined about her desires for children. "She looked at me and told me that she envied my life. At that moment, I couldn't understand why, because in my eyes, she had everything," Jan said. "She was on top of the world, in my eyes. But she looked at me she said, 'You have a family.'" Shane also reiterated that Jagger was a positive presence in Scott's life who "loved her deeply," and "she loved him." She said that "our family does not blame Mick." While early reports placed L’Wren Scott's funeral in New York, Shane said she hoped the burial would happen in Scott's native Utah. She said, "I would love to see L'Wren brought home and be buried next to mom and dad. She's family and that's where I believe she belongs."
