Joe & Teresa Giudice's Daughter Regrets Gay Slur: 'That's Not What I Meant… I Feel Awful’

Joe and Teresa Giudice's daughter has apologized for using a vulgar gay slur on her Twitter account, claiming that's not how she meant it — even though that's how it appeared.
Gia, 13, replied to one of her followers on Feb. 3 using the offensive word in a statement that read, "@nickslaaen who’s this chick u little f*gg*t.." which immediately sparked controversy and caused the reality TV tot to delete the tweet.
But not before RadarOnline.com snapped a screen grab.
Now, Gia explains her regret telling Star magazine she has learned from her mistake.
"People took it as a gay slur. I would never think that way. It was a mistake to joke, but that's not what I meant. So that's hard, and I feel awful," Gia told the magazine.
"I have to take responsibilities for my actions because I am always in the public eye."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to using the F-word.
In 2012 Andy Cohen hosted a “Lost Footage” special with the cast from Real Housewives Of New Jersey and Gia’s father, Joe, admitted using that homophobic term is something he often did.
“Growing up, we always used the word… we call each other, f*gg*t, homo or whatever, doesn’t mean anything. We were friends. We call each other names all the time, it doesn’t mean we’re gay,” Joe told Cohen.

“We just would use that word for whatever reason, that just was in our vocabulary… It was just a word that everybody used. Now, I don’t use the word anymore because it’s not appropriate and people don’t want to hear that, so I don’t use it.”
And despite the backlash Gia received for using the word, she says she enjoys the perks of being famous.
"When I go to Disney or want concert tickets, I can get them for free!" she told Star.
