Caroline Manzo told her son Albie to lie about where they lived years before the family became famous on Real Housewives of New Jersey, the reality TV show son has revealed, and RadarOnline.com has all the details.

In an extended tweet about their family dog dying on Christmas, Albie wrote that when he attended grammar school, his parents encouraged him to fib about their living arrangements in Wayne, New Jersey, so he could attend another area school and make new friends.

When Albie was in the grade, he explained via Twitter on Thursday, "We decided to move out of Wayne and build a house in Franklin Lakes.

"The construction was obviously going to take some time and instead of having me be the new kid in high school (when our house would be finished) my parents (Mom, mostly) insisted that we lie about our address so I could get to know new kids before High School.

"So for a solid 2 and a half years we still lived in Wayne while I went to school in Franklin Lakes," Albie wrote.

The revelation was a surprise to fans who thought they knew everything about the close-knit RHONJ family!

But there is no doubt there's more to come because matriarch Caroline, husband Albert, Albie, his sister Lauren and brother Chris have left the Housewives to star in the upcoming 2014 Bravo spinoff, Manzo'd With Children.

Albie, for one, wants fans to know about the Manzos' humble roots.

"We all shared a little bedroom in a house that is actually smaller than my current office," restaurateur Albie tweeted about growing up with Lauren and Chris in the Manzos' Wayne, New Jersey home.

"We grew up super modest and to be honest I think that's why we're still so close and protective of each other."
