Bachelor star Sean Lowe and fiancee Catherine Giudici have finally set a wedding date and to celebrate the couple held an engagement party earlier this month, but an insider exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that drama was high because none of Lowe's family or friends attended the bash.

Held in Giudici's hometown of Seattle on Oct. 4, the party was thrown by her mother and bridesmaids at Ballard Annex Oyster House and the group then went to the cocktail lounge BalMar to continue the party.

"It was weird to have an engagement without the grooms' family," a source exclusively told Radar.

"The guests included only her friends and family and not his. I think that says a lot about how Sean's family feels about her."

Lowe, 29, is a devout Christian from Texas who talked a lot about his faith while on the hit ABC show, but the insider doesn't think his family approves of Giudici because "she's not Christian enough."

"I don't think their families are on same page," the insider revealed.

"She's not Christian enough; too edgy."

Regardless, Lowe and Giudici are set to tie the knot on Jan. 26, 2014 — live on TV!

"I think it's only natural to have it on TV seeing as how our relationship started," Lowe told People.

"This will be a cool opportunity to share the most special day of our lives with all the people who have been invested in us along the way."

The couple are still living separately in Dallas but Lowe says, "We're stronger than we've ever been. And not to sound too cliched, but I fall more in love with her every day.

"Watching Catherine walk down the aisle will be the best moment of my life."
