Siegfried And Roy Get Help For Cause After Barrett-Jackson Generates More Than $32 Million in Sales

With 70,000 in attendance, Barrett-Jackson's Collector Car Show & Auction at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas last weekend drummed up a record $32 million in sales, a 41 percent increase from last year.
Clay Walker performed at the extravaganza, which helped drum up $500,000 for Wounded Warriors Family Support. What's more, $95,000 was donated to Siegfried and Roy’s SARMOTI Foundation.
Other celebs on hand included Mike Tyson, X-Men director Bryan Singer and 2012 Playboy Playmate of the year Jaclyn Swedberg.
“Results from the Las Vegas auction demonstrate that the collector car market is incredibly strong within all segments of the hobby,” the company's CEO Craig Jackson said. “In addition to the impressive sales numbers, Barrett-Jackson continues to set the trend in the collector car market by providing incredible vehicles to car enthusiasts and continues to give all audiences compelling charitable moments, celebrity appearances and activities for everyone.”

Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis said the “event marked the most successful in Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas history with the most diverse docket we have ever offered," and said the results "achieved a milestone and reinforces once again why Barrett-Jackson is the industry leader.”
Totals were only eclipsed by the company's annual Scottsdale event (which racked up a record 657 consignments). Among the one-of-a-kind vehicles sold were Rick Hendrick’s 1963 Chevrolet Corvettes, which went for $106,400 and $110,000, respectively. One fan of The Sopranos and its' late star, James Gandolfini, walked out with a priceless memento on the occasion: Tony Soprano's 1999 Chevrolet Suburban from the show's first four seasons, which sold for $110,000.
Other big buys included: a 1967 Ferrari 330GTC that sold for $495,000; 1931 Lincoln Model K Convertible that sold for $352,000; a 2005 Ford GT 2 Door Coupe that sold for $275,000; 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 2 Door Coupe that sold for $258,500; and a 1967 Shelby GT500E that sold for $242,000.
