The embattled ex-wife of Charlie Sheen has been receiving twice weekly supervised visits with her twin sons Bob and Max, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is facilitating the reunion between the four-year-old children and their mother Brooke Mueller.

Social workers are ushering the children from the Beverly Hills home of their current guardian, Sheen’s second ex-wife Denise Richards, to Mueller’s rental beach house in Dana Point in southern Orange County, Calif.

"The boys typically see Brooke on the weekend, when they aren't in their pre-school," a source revealed.

"The boys are picked up Denise's home by an official from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The social worker then drives the boys to Brooke's home, near the treatment facility where she's an outpatient."

Mueller, the 35-year-old former Palm Beach, Fla., socialite, is currently living with several staff members and a sober living coach, the insider said.

"Brooke is randomly drug tested by the clinic and child protective services and she has been clean for almost 90 days," the pal revealed.

Mueller lost temporary custody of her children in May after she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold following yet another drug binge and overdose. It's now her 21st stint in rehabilitation.

The twins, four, were then placed with the Wild Things actress in a temporary move, though it is expected to last for the rest of 2013.

“Brooke is going to need to demonstrate during that time a commitment to her sobriety and recovery and not have any dirty drug tests," another source close to the situation revealed.

"Denise is thrilled to take care of the twins and the boys are doing extremely well in her care.

"The goal of DCFS is for reunification between Brooke and the twins. The department feels it's always in the best interest of children to remain with their mother.
