Prince William and Kate Middleton's young Prince of Cambridge spent his first night home at Kensington Palace Tuesday, and we've got details on that, and all other new developments surrounding the royal baby Wednesday.

Great Grandma Visits: Will and Kate received a visit from the boy's great grandmother Queen Elizabeth II Wednesday, as the 87-year-old royal paid a visit to Kensington Palace to meet her heir for the very first time. As we previously reported, the baby is third in line for England's throne.

Homecoming: As he and Kate carried their son -- who inadvertently waved, as he slept, in his first public appearance -- out of St. Mary's hospital, proud papa Will told the press, "He's a big boy, quite heavy … he has a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure." The new parents and their child will remain intact the next two weeks while Will is on paternity leave.

Name Game: Prince William said he and Kate were "still working on a name" as of Tuesday, a decision that plenty of gambling dollars are riding on, with the frenzied betting on all things baby. William Hill casino has George as a 2-to-1 favorite, with James trailing close behind at 4-to-1. Other popular names among players are Alexander 8-to-1, and Henry and Louis, both at 12-to-1.

Tot Tweets: The birth of the Royal Baby inspired tons of Twitter activity, with the social media website reporting an amazing rate of 25,300 tweets a minute, and more than 2 million tweets echoing the royal crier's news of the birth. Popular hashtags used include #RoyalBaby, #RoyalBabyBoy and #RoyalBabyWatch.

Extra, Extra!: The birth of the royal baby provided newspapers around the world with a unique opportunity to plan for history, and many of the publications responded with over-the-top, elaborate headlines, images and gimmicks. Most notably, the UK Sun tweaked its' name to The Son for a day, while English comedy mag Private Eye dryly had the headline, WOMAN HAS BABY. The news of the newborn was the lead story in the U.S., Europe and Australia.
