Not A Gleeful Birthday: Jane Lynch Alone After Filing For Divorce & Suffering Loss Of Costar Cory Monteith

Jane Lynch appeared sad and deeply lost in thought as she walked her dog in New York Sunday.

It's the Glee star's 53rd birthday, and her first in years without the company of her wife, Dr. Lara Embry.

Lynch filed for divorce from her spouse of three years on Friday.

Lynch's birthday also came just hours after she learned of the sudden death of her Glee costar Cory Monteith.

As RadarOnline.com has been reporting, the actor/singer was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room Saturday morning following a night out on the town with several buddies.

Saturday night, Jane appeared along with Mary Tyler Moore, Bernadette Peters in the annual Broadway Barks! fundraiser in New York.  She learned of Monteith's death just minutes after coming off stage.
