Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaves 'The View,' Takes New Gig With Fox News Channel

Elisabeth Hasselbeck will finish out the current season as a panelist on The View and then will move on to a gig on the Fox News Channel with Fox & Friends.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Tuesday afternoon, reporting that Hasselbeck would be replacing Gretchen Carlson on the network's show.
Hasselbeck's The View co-host Barbara Walters said of her departure, "We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters," she said.

"We will miss her and wish her everything good.”
FOX News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said, “Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View. She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”
Hasselbeck will make the move to Fox in September.
"I have been a long-time fan of Fox & Friends and am excited to be joining their team in September," Hasselbeck said. "It is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home."
