Cory Monteith's death from a lethal mix of heroin and alcohol continues to send a ripple through the entertainment community, and we've got all the latest developments linked to the 31-year-old's tragic passing.

We start closest to the actor, in the form of his longtime lady love Lea Michele, as insiders told People Wednesday the "happy and very in love" TV stars were on track toward getting engaged, and had even talked about the possibility of marriage and wedding in the wake of his recent stint in rehab.

Up in Monteith's native Canada, diehard fans of the late actor were planning vigils slated for Friday night in British Columbia: One at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, where he was found dead July 13; and one at Clover Point Park in Victoria.

And in a sad case of "The Show Must Go On," insiders tell E! Glee is looking to cast two new faces, as producers figure out how to adjust the show's storyline in the wake of Monteith's premature passing.

"Everyone is in shock: To say that Cory was much loved on the Glee set doesn't even begin to do him justice," an insider told the network.

The show returns to production later this month, and has a fifth season premiere date set for Sept. 19.

As we previously reported, Monteith, who played the role of Finn Hudson on the Fox hit, was found dead at 31 Saturday in a Vancouver, British Columbia, hotel room.

The British Columbia coroner's office Tuesday confirmed the embattled actor's life ended as result of a toxic mix of of heroin and alcohol, adding that no foul play is suspected in his premature passing.
