Judge Will Decide If Amanda Bynes Should Remain In Psych Unit For Two More Weeks & Parents Are Visiting Daily

As Amanda Bynes' parents prepare to go to court on Friday to seek a temporary conservatorship over her, a judge will decide in the next few hours if the troubled starlet should remain in a psychiatric unit for another two weeks, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Meanwhile Amanda's parents have been visiting her -- but the troubled star refuses to see her father, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
On Monday night, law enforcement placed the 27-year-old actress on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold after Bynes started a small fire in a driveway, dousing her dog with gasoline, and burning her pants.
Doctors treating Bynes at a psychiatric facility in Ventura County, "have formally petitioned to keep her for further treatment and assessment for the next fourteen days," a family source tells RadarOnline.com. "Amanda will likely attend the proceedings, which will be closed to the public.
"The judge will be able to ask Amanda questions directly, as well as her doctors. Her parents won't be there. However, Amanda's parents are extremely concerned about their daughter's safety if she is released, before they have a chance to go to court to ask for the conservatorship."
The earliest Amanda's parents can go to court is Friday because the judge handling conservatorships has a full calendar, and that was the soonest it could be heard.
Sources tell us that the conservatorship proceedings will be closed to the public.
Meanwhile, both of Amanda's parents have been going to the hospital to visit her, but she refuses to see her dad. "Amanda doesn't want to see her dad, but he goes with his wife, just in case she changes her mind," the insider revealed.
"Rick will be there for his daughter, no matter what. They just want her to get the help she needs, and recognize that it could be a long process. She's their daughter, and they are committed to getting her better."
