Kathy Wakile Admits ‘Rebuilding Relationships Can Be Even More Difficult’ Than Recuperating From Hurricane Sandy

During the season 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on June 2, Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice started the long and hard process of reconnecting their broken families. But this is a process that their co-star Kathy Wakile feels is going to be harder to do than recovering from the devastation left behind by Hurricane Sandy.

“Rebuilding things after a natural disaster is not easy,” Kathy wrote on her blog. “Rebuilding severed relationships can be even more difficult.”

Kathy thinks it’s going to take a lot of hard work.

“However, in both cases if you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get dirty, you will be amazed at what can happen with hard work and help from others,” she said.

Co-star Caroline Manzo agrees that the cast needed some repairs.  “It's been one hell of a crazy ride and time to make some changes,” she wrote in her blog.

So, that’s exactly what the broken cast tried to do while filming this season.

“This past year New Jersey has worked tirelessly to ‘Restore the Shore,’” Kathy said. “We too have rolled up our sleeves and gotten dirty at times as well as shed a few tears too on our road to recovery.”

“Without getting into it too much, I can tell you that there are some really amazing moments this year that will probably leave you speechless and in tears, this I know for sure,” Caroline added.
