In a stunning development in the assassinations of a Texas prosecutor and his wife and an assistant District Attorney, a woman has been arrested and charged with murder.

Kim Lene Williams, the wife of disgraced ex-Judge Eric Lyle Williams, was charged in Kaufman, Texas Wednesday with three counts of capital murder in the shooting deaths of an assistant district attorney in January, and a district attorney and his wife, Cynthia, in March, authorities said.

Williams was arrested late Tuesday in connection with the killings, with officials saying she was the trigger person; she's in custody at Kaufman County Jail on $10 million bail.

The two lawyers -- Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse and District Attorney Mike McLelland -- had prosecuted her husband, Eric Lyle Williams, in connection with three missing computers from an office. He was subsequently found guilty and convicted in connection with the heists, after which he was sentenced to two years of probation, and lost both his law license and position as a justice of the peace.

Court docs state that on March 31 -- the day after the McLellands' bodies were found -- Eric Lyle Williams sent an email (from his home computer) indicating more blood would be shed unless officials honors certain demands he had. He was arrested this past weekend in connection with terroristic threats, and remains in custody on $3 million bail.

The killings were initially thought to be the work of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, a white supremacist prison gang, after McLelland's office implemented a task force to monitor their activities.
