American supermodel Kendra Spears is going from the catwalk to the throne with a fairy tale engagement!
The 24-year-old beauty, who has modeled for the likes of Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs, is marrying Prince Rahim Aga Khan, which means she will become a princess when she walks down the aisle – and RadarOnline.com has the details.
Though it’s unclear how long Spears has been dating the 43-year-old son of His Highness Aga Khan IV, Imam of Shia Ismaili Muslims, the Aga Khan Development Network released the statement on Friday, along with the couple’s official engagement portrait.
"The couple will be married in a Muslim ceremony," the statement said. "The date of the marriage has not been set yet."
“Thank you for all the kind tweets!” Spears tweeted on Friday. “We’re very excited!”
Kendra, who is from Seattle, Wash. and was discovered on MySpace by Ford Models, isn’t the first beauty to join her fiance’s family! Her future father-in-law was married to Brit model Sarah Croker-Poole and her grandfather-in-law was married to Hollywood star Rita Hayworth.
