Jodi Arias has been sitting in jail for five years after stabbing Travis Alexander 29 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the face, but she’s been able to communicate with the outside world via her very own Twitter page from behind bars!

During the trial a Twitter account with the name @jodiannarias popped up with zingers being written in 140 characters or less and now MYFoxPhoenix has confirmed that it is Jodi’s account, and how she’s managing to be on social media while locked up in jail.

Jodi’s friend Donavan Bering, who has been sitting in court with Jodi’s mother, talks to the accused murderer almost every night on the phone and she is the one posting the update.

"She'll call and say 'I have a quote.' We'll talk about it,” Donavan told My Fox 10 about her relationship with Jodi.

“Sometimes she says 'let's tweet.' And then she'll say 'no let's not do it.'"

Jodi has been insulting the prosecutor Juan Martinez, writing scathing Tweets about him that are being followed by over 2,000 fans.

“Hmm… Anger Management problems anyone?” was the first, followed by: "He who tries to establish his point by much yelling shows that his reasoning is weak."

She quipped in a third slam at Martinez: "Those afflicted with Little Man's Syndrome taint society's perception of genuinely good men who happen to be vertically challenged."

HLN’s acid-tongue host Nancy Grace is another one of her targets, and Jodi responded to a picture of Jodi that looked like she was giving the middle finger, writing: "Actually Nancy, that finger was for you. Have a nice day," and ripped into the network with: "HLN is an acronym for Haters Love Negativity."

Jodi’s friend Donavan defended her Tweets, saying: "I think it's a way of her getting out her frustration, because she doesn't have a chance to say much.”

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says that they’re aware of her Tweeting but for now cannot stop her.

"We do talk about the fact that Jodi seems to be able to reach out into the community in various ways and profit from her notoriety. We don't like it... but there is nothing we can do about it," MCSO spokesperson Lisa Allen said.

According to the news report, Jodi’s attorneys are aware of her Tweeting and “apparently they aren't very happy about it.”
